Intimate stage setting. First rate productions and performers (e.g., Lindsay Crouse) Good drinks bar. Feels like you are right in the middle of the performance. Parking can be an issue.

Gloucester Stage is a precious part of the Gloucester community. We have had a season subscription for five or six years, and have never once been disappointed with a performance. The acting is world class (almost all are Actor's Equity members), with lengthy Broadway, off Broadway, movie and TV credits. The theater is small and intimate, and every production is characterized by inventive use of props, lighting, and sets. It is the best bargain in Gloucester, and maybe in the theater world. Go!

We were able to secure ticket for the final performance of 39 Steps at the GSC. What a great venue to enjoy live theater. We had front row seat so we saw all and heard all. Great performance and was well worth the cost of the tickets. Parking is street side and can be a bit dicey so maybe get there early and find a safe spot. You will not be disappointed.

My Station in Life by Ken Riaf, with Ken Baltin as the cantackerous Simon Geller, was superb! Ken Baltin kept the audience enthralled for 1.5 hours in this one act play, with minor appearances of other actors. It didn't take long before I believed Ken Baltin truly WAS Simon Geller. The actor became the character through and through. I used to listen to WVCA FM from 1970s to 1980s and remember Geller saying one night that he was going off the air to go to the movies to see a show he just couldn't miss. He would shut down without any notice, but for about 13 hours a day he was totally committed. Go see this play! You won't be disappointed. Thank you Gloucester Stage!
