About
Curious Escape Room is the first live action escape room in Central MA. Located in downtown Fitchburg, get shrunk and enter THE DOLLHOUSE or go back in time to 1999 and find a movie at THE VIDEO STORE. You and your team enter the room. Around the room there are locks, combos and clues hidden around. Like a scavenger hunt, together, solve a series of puzzles to complete your mission. You have 60 minutes.

My group of 4 did two rooms in one visit. We had a blast! The rooms were designed well and challenging, but not frustrating. We had signed up for one room and did the second because it was that much fun. The staff were very friendly, explained everything well, and came in with clues at the exact right time. I would highly recommend taking friends or family!

Had out of town family visit from Florida and this was the highlight of the visit. We did the holiday puzzle of 90's video store and it was just the correct level of a challenge. We solved the room with only 4:33 left and EACH member of our team had input that was helpful... Can't wait to go again. The staff was amazing and I like the fact that each game is private.

Went with my husband, and another couple. We had so much fun! Wasn't so sure what to expect and to be honest I didn't have high expectations but let me tell you it was really awesome and we are totally going back again to try the the room. We made it out with 2 min to spare

We’ve done several escape room locations and this is our favorite! The retro themes are awesome and fun, the puzzles are great and the game hosts are friendly and do a great job briefing you with the backstory to the room theme and running the game. We’ve gone as a team of 4 each time and loved it!

Highly recommend checking this place out! Staff is friendly and helpful! Escape room was GREAT!! We will absolutely be going back! Great family fun!!

For Mother's Day, we had a three-generation group attempt the 90s Video Store. I was a bit apprehensive --and completely excited-- going in because I had read so many glowing reviews online and I'd broken up a family dinner to jump in the car and go.
It did not disappoint. The scene was set perfectly and the room was the perfect level of challenge for our group of eight people ranging from 11 to 71. (we've done about 20 other escape rooms and found this to be among the best.) We completed the room with about five minutes to spare, not having needed any clues. The clue variety and complexity was fantastic and the space could not have been better. We truly felt like we'd gone back in time, and the soundtrack set the mood.
We will definitely be back again soon to attempt the Dollhouse and anything else Audrey & Jeremy dream up!

Thought it was going to be just our “Party of 5” group (spent a good part of the morning thinking about a team name), then when we arrived were paired up with another group to make a total of 10. Was a little suspicious to worked with others, but had a fantastic time doing so! So much fun trying to figure out all the clues while getting high school flashbacks the entire time. Room was well thought out, kept everyone busy and moving, and had lots of neat elements to keep the team surprised. Had a fantastic night with old and new friends. Would certainly recommend for a different and fun hour long experience

The dollhouse was very creative and challenging for 2 adults and 3 tweets. The kids loved it and had a blast.

I visited Curious Escape Rooms with a group of 5 friends, all escape room lovers. We had reserved the Video Store room in advance. From the outside, the building doesn't look like much, but the inside is incredible. The 'Video Vault' was a perfect depiction of the prototypical 90s video rental store with a game to match. The puzzles were clever and challenging and kept us thinking for most of the hour before we were able to escape. The game masters were great hosts--they clearly put a lot of thought into the game, and a lot of care into the business. This was definitely my favorite escape room experience I've had. I'll be back to try the Dollhouse soon.

We saw the 90's Video Store escape room advertised online and a group of 6 of us took a trip to visit it because it looked like fun. It ended up being the best escape room I've ever played!
We were able to escape with just under 5 minutes, and ever minute of it was exciting.The puzzle were well crafted and the theming was spot on - it felt like were were back in a video store from yesteryear. We didn't have time to try the Dollhouse room, but we'll certainly be back to try it.
