Came for an afternoon (arriving at 2pm) but that is not the time to arrive here. There are two entrances (for vehicles) one of which is residents, the other for pass-holders. So the parking situation is fine ($20/day), the problem is the beach is very crowded because it's small. We didn't end up staying because people were way too close (covid era) and we didn't want to find a plot of sand to safely situate ourselves. So we got a refund after 10 mins and went elsewhere.
But I must say the water is perfectly clear with a nice channel separating the two parts of the beach. Water looks very swimmable and calm for everyone. On the opposite side of hte main street are what appear to be tidal flats with kids walking around there collecting shells. A very nice beach!

A very beautiful clean and not rocky shallow water . Children can swim even farther from the shore. $30 parking fee ,with bathrooms and food stand. Swimming area is Separately, for public and for the residents. I recommend this highly to everyone 👍.

Old Silver Beach is our go to beach when visiting the Cape. Sun, sand and views are the very best, in my opinion. We have visited several times and each time was perfect! We walked over to Red's at the Seacrest Resort and had a fabulous meal.

Came to the beach with 2 kids during our stay on the Cape, paid $20 cash to the parking attendant and WHILE we were taking things out of the car it started drizzling...we didn’t think much of it as the sun was still shining bright. As we were to set our feet onto sand that same attendant who collected $20 announced that they were clearing the beach...surely, when inquired about the paid fee less than 4min prior we were told in a rude/disrespectful tone that it was non-refundable and we could “forget about getting the $ back.” Such unfortunate experience...at trying times as these one would hope for a bit more cooperation. Rip off at its finest. So disappointed in complete lack of human compassion & sense of reasoning. SHAME!

Formerly one of Falmouth’s best, Old Silver has been undone by it’s popularity. If you do manage to snag a parking space, towels, umbrellas and massive canopies are packed so tightly that you’ll be hard pressed to thread your way to the water. Once you do, prepare to dodge countless heavily tattooed women of all ages wearing teeny-tiny bikinis as they snap Swimsuit Issue photos by the dozen, teens vaping and cussing, middle aged men toting red solo cups and general chaos. It’s a great beach, but an awful scene.

This was one of the only peat beach experiences I’ve ever had, it was absolutely freezing there was so much wind and this beach is extremely small which I wish I was aware of beforehand. And it was filled with euther elders or newborns. Overall it was horrible and I’m never coming back.

We always go the this beach when we visit Falmouth, once a year. It's a small beach on the bay. Paid parking only. Snack shack with basics. Public restroom. Clean. Slightly rocky, but no so much that you need shoes.

There are so few west-facing beaches in MA. This is one of them! And with really warm water. And loved the variety of people who come to this beach, its a wonderful mix! Sandy and warm with the gorgeous sunset. Can't beat it.

Today, June 9, 2018 we went to Old Silver Beach which usually is one of our favorite spots however today we arrived around noon and there were small bugs attacking us . There were employees of the town collecting 20.00 to park. We unloaded the car with 5 chairs, a cooler, beach toys, blankets etc. As soon as we sat down, small bugs literally were attacking us. My girlfriends granddaughter got bitten so bad she had welts on her body. After we seen how badly bitten she was we decided to pack it up after being there for 15 minutes. We approached the employees collecting the parking fee and requested a refund. The girl asked if she could call her superintendent Bruce Malgado or something like that. He adamantly said there were no refunds after we explained how badly bitten the little girl was. He could have cared less! Monday morning there will be an Attorney contacting Bruce’s supervisor. He is obviously not a good businessman as his decision not to return our money lost very good patrons as this WAS our favorite spot to go to the beach! AGAIN DONOT GO TO THIS BEACH, THEY DONT CARE ABOUT CHILDREN ONLY MONEY!

Okay so here’s the scoop on Falmouth beaches. Old Silver is the most popular hence crowded, but has decent sand. Stoney Beach is aptly named because it is VERY stony, but seems to be a haven for families with toddlers as it has a large section corded off for little swimmers (also crowded). Nobska Beach is quieter and has lots of sand and is near the lovely lighthouse. BUT, the most underrated beach in the area is Woodneck Beach! This place is quiet at high tide for solace and peace and a great place in the late PM at low tide to bring the family. Amazing sunsets, loads of tidal pools filled with hermit crabs, a tidal river you can swim in and ocean water you can go way out in! So worth it especially after 3:30 when you don’t even need a pass! If you’re in Woods Hole this is THE beach. We had four adults, two teens and a kid and we all thought it was the best. AND there was decent parking! Portable potties are there, but no food so bring your own! Definitely worth it!

We followed all the advice found on the internet...got here early (8:15 a.m.) The public lot was closed, and the woman on duty was extremely rude. She rudely informed us the lot doesnt open until 9, and told us we couldn't wait outside the gate. Very unwelcoming. My sister had a similar experience down the road. We are in line now (8:54 a.m. and it's not too crowded yet)
