What a great day! The wind very favorable the day we went, and we averaged around 6-7 knots. Capt. Chris, Noah, and Christian were all excellent hosts. We went out to Vineyard Haven, and back. We usually go all the way out to Newport for day sails, because we couldn't find a reasonably priced day sail anywhere on the Cape - until we found the Liberte'. There are some Cape Cod Bay day sails, but they are SLOOOOW being on the bay side. The Liberte' was an exciting trip, and we'll be going again for sure! An added plus was Jim's Clam Shack right at the Liberte' dock. Great stop after a day sail!

We took two 17 year old girls with us for a sunset sail. It’s was a gorgeous evening, and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. There was plenty of room (we sat all the way in the back, so less crowded and great view of the sails going up) and the prices for the drinks were cheaper than any bar in town. Some folks were able to help raise the sails if they wanted to. Other folks brought along cheese and crackers, so bring a snack if you want, just no byob. The earlier you arrive, the better parking and boarding number you get. We will make this an annual tradition for our family.

I booked us thinking I was just another fun activity to do with the family while on Cape Cod, but it was so much more. The people that run this treat you like royalty and are so grateful you are there. They are all so kind and so warm and welcoming, I could not get over how genuine and helpful they were. We didn’t think we’d be able to get a ticket for this before we left, but they’ve bended over backwards to make it happen and we are so happy with the memories we made. The sailing was calm and smooth, being under sail is so relaxing. The crew are excellent with children, they show them how to raise the sails and how to steer, it’s very interactive. Our group had people from age 9 to 84 and all were happy.
The crew tells stories about places you’ll see from the water and there’s trivia too.
Here’s some tips—
If you walk there or park in a lot that is not connected to the dock, they will give you a token for a free drink aboard the boat.
They have blankets and pillows to keep you comfortable.
They board the boat in order of people who show up to check in. There is no rushing or clamoring to get on board the boat because you follow the number order.
There are no bad seats on the boat.
They serve soft drinks, water, juice, ginger ale, beer, wine and cocktails.
They put the drinks in cute fat coozies that you can buy for $1 if you want to keep.
Bring cash to tip! They are great!
We had such a wonderful time that we wanted to book again before we left, but we ran out of time, we will absolutely be back and sail with them again.

My Family & I celebrated my Birthday with a Sunset Cruise. It was Wonderful! The captain & crew were entertaining, gave some history of the boat and encouraged passenger volunteers if they wanted to be part of the experience of hoisting the sails of this beautiful ship. The ship is over 70' in length and has a 12 ton keel, so plenty of room to relax with a smooth ride. There is a reasonably priced Cash Bar on board ( true cash/no credit cards) to enjoy a glass of wine or cold beer. As the sun set in front of us, there was nothing but a sense of peace and beauty. I will always remember this Birthday :).

This was a wonderful experience! The captain and crew were so friendly and informative, my whole family felt welcomed and comfortable. They check on your group multiple times to make sure your trip is enjoyable and you have any drinks you need, even offering to take photos.
The trip itself felt like a perfect length of time to feel like you could enjoy the open ocean, we went all the way to the Vineyard from Falmouth.
A tip I have is to bring cash for tipping the crew (well-deserved!, they take cards for drink orders), hat/sunglasses for the sun and wind, and a sweatshirt or jacket (they have all of these things including blankets though if you forget). Also get there early to get a numbered ticket—we didn't realize you could get there way before the company opened and had trouble at first getting seats together as a group of 6 (though we were all able to sit, and other groups adjusted so we could move to sit together!).

My husband and I loved how easy it was to get to the dock, got the parking was free that we boarded the ship quickly and that refreshments were very reasonably priced. We appreciated a beautiful day on the water with a wonderfully cheerful and helpful crew. A 3-hour tour for $45 was a real deal and the crew made it very special for us as we celebrated our 34th wedding anniversary. There was a family attending the cruse and people moved from seat to seat so at one point we did lose are seat, stood for a while to talk with the crew, and then returned to sit again. As the seating was spread around the ship, it felt like a bit fewer people would have been better for us. We will return with friends and family, encouraged our son’s fiancé to consider a bachelorette sail, and possibly go with our little church group too!

We first experienced this ship in Falmouth and returned a 2nd time for the sunset cruise which we highly recommend. The captain and crew are wonderful and it feels like you are family as the entire voyage is laid back as well as super relaxing, When out daughter's band (The Lone Bellow) played in Annapolis, MD we reserved the ship for an afternoon sail with the band, family, friends and band fans. What a fabulous afternoon sailing the bay!

The peace of the entire experience was my favorite part— The captain was fun, knowledgeable, engaged. His crew was AMAZING. Christian and Emily were polite, engaged, and worked very well together. The three of them together made us all feel safe, important, and a part of the journey.
I would highly recommend this experience for couples, friends, families… anyone who wants to just unplug and cherish the smell of the salt air, and the peace of a sail. The Captain built this boat— and created this experience 31 years ago. His love and commitment was apparent from the moment we arrived at the dock .

A wonderful experience. Don't miss this opportunity to sail on a beautiful sail boat with loads of character. The crew did a great job providing a smooth sailing experience, whilst also serving drinks and offering some engaging & fun info to those onboard. Highly recommended!

If you do one thing this summer, take a sail on Liberte'! We've gone on sailings every year since 2018 (sometimes 3-4 times a year), and it never gets old. Great crew, drinks served on deck before the sails are even hoisted, and Captain Chris is fantastic. Beautiful views of Falmouth coastline and Martha's Vineyard! Tip: buy your tickets on- line, go by the pier early to reserve your boarding position, then go get a bite or drink down the street at the Flying Bridge. Park there and walk back to the pier. Parking at the boat pier is limited, so if you park off site, you get a free drink token for everyone in your group. Just make sure to tell the parking dude. Happy sailing!

There is a free parking lot with limited space at the boat. The boat crew is at the gate and will direct you. There is also parking on the street near the boat. If you park on the street, let Cory, the crew mate know and he will give you a couple of free drink tickets.

Do you do sunset tours at the end of October?? Five women coming for a 60th birthday, October 25-26
Written September 14, 2018
What is the price? I don't see it listed here or on the website.
Written August 29, 2018
If you click the “buy tickets” button, it gives you the prices and times. Not a great UX design, but that’s where to find the prices.

Does the sunset cruise go by the Kennedy compound and can you see it from the water?
Written July 16, 2018
No because the cruise is between Falmouth Ma and Martha’s Vineyard. The Kennedy Compound is in Hyannis Ma 25 mikes east of Falmouth.

We missed this question last year, but we did take Deane and his group out, like we do every year!
Written January 5, 2017
Thanks for the question. The boat is 77' long, 65' on deck. Her speed depends on the wind, but generally in the 6 - 8 knot range.

Is this sail good for kids? Can kids go on the sunset cruise?
Written June 21, 2015
Hi! Kids can go on the sunset sail, but it is primarily featured as an adult event. That's why there is only one ticket price for everyone.
