We were taking the first ferry across to Martha's Vineyard so arrived fairly early as instructed. As it happens at this time of the year (beginning of October) it wasn't really necessary. We walked from our hotel to save $15 on the parking fee but noticed the car park was locked anyway (maybe another sessional thing). The ferry left on... More

Had an overnight on MV. The next day was very windy and we were told that the Island Queen was not operating. We had to get another way home. This might have been okay ( it was a safety issue) had the staff at Island Queen provided assistance. Put information on their web page. Also ... Why not use some... More

Hello Boston1123 We apologize that you felt we did not communicate well enough during our weather cancellation several days ago. While it is not common for weather to cancel a full day of sailings, we felt it was necessary to cancel the day for the safety of our passengers and crew. This information was immediately tweeted, posted on our website... More

We come to the cape every year and a trip to the Vineyard is part of our visit. We take the Island Queen, sit in the open air and enjoy the ride. The staff is always friendly and the ride is always relaxing. (The plastic chairs however, are not always comfy.). In over a decade, the price has only risen... More

We just returned from a trip to the Vineyard on the island queen. Previously we had only used the steamship Authority's boat to get to Oak Bluffs. What a difference. We easily parked in the lot which is about 200 feet from the ferry. This ferry only takes passengers and Bicycles. It was so simple to get on board with... More

Very comfortable ship. Short trip to Martha's Vineyard. Nice staff and parking was great. Trip to Martha's Vineyard wasn't that exciting but it's a typical tourist town. Enjoyed the ferry ride a lot and the day was great. Rates reasonable and sea was calm.

The outgoing crossing had a slight swell but was barely noticeable as the boat sped across to Oak Bluffs on Martha's Vineyard. The return crossing was a bit choppier but again no probem. The crew were polite and friendly and the boat has a small bar.
