We visited the USS Massachusetts which was at the Battleship Cove in Fall River, MA. It was a chilly May 18 for us. The Big Mamie was really humongous from the outside. What’s really cool is that you could really check out most part of...More

We loved this shop! It’s size alone is spectacular! But to be able to walk the same “halls” as the brave persons who were stationed to her was awe inspiring! Absolutely everyone should go and absolutely everyone can do it! Rich in history, views and...More

You can’t go wrong: meet the MIA pilot who “showed up alive” for the 50th anniversary of the ship’s arrival; picture yourself speeding across inlets in “Boats” Newberry’s riveting PT-boat display. Or prowl the submarine Lionfish, imagining her underway; discover the legend that is the...More

Interesting to tour a WW2 era battleship. The tour is self guided. You can spend hours getting lost in the ship. Many artifacts. Videos of former crew gave insights into life on board and were interesting to watch. Definitely worth a visit.

Standing on the deck of Big Mamie is an awe-inspiring moment: I've never seen so many huge guns in one place! And just thinking of what this ship has seen and done is enough to give one goose bumps. My favorite ship in this nautical...More

Along with my daughter i toured all open decks below and above the main deck. I love history and my father fought in WW II. This was awesome to see the inside of a 16in turret. Ladders can be steep for some people but we...More

Bring comfortable shoes because this ship is huge and there's a lot of walking, climbing and exploring inside. Give yourself ample time to explore everything without rushing. There's a cafeteria with good food located on board this ship. There's no a/c in the majority of...More

This was a chance to visit a page of history and to (almost) experience what life was like on this wonderful battleship. The audio (via cell phone) comments are very interesting and informative. More than worth it !

History comes alive here at this progressive museum that not only includes the best battleship (where you can sleep over), it includes memorials that need to be experienced.
