fly an open biplane!

We cycled here with the kids - easy ride for them (8 and 10). We rented the biplane for two rides, one adult/one kid each - excellent way to see the island

We came here for breakfast at the Right Fork Diner, we stayed for the all the airfield action. They have a red biplane that takes off and lands with some regularity. We enjoyed watching the kids get excited. There is a great beach at the end of the airstrip that is a must!

There is nothing here unless you are flying with the Red Baron, then bring ear protection. Ask someone where Dave Letterman lives and call it a day!

It is just an airport; nothing special, nothing bad. We were told the breakfast at the coffee shop was great, but we could not find it.

Looking forward to flying in here soon. The runways looked great. A bus stop is within 500' of the tie down area.

While I cannot address the value of the Airfield for use by pilots, I can say that it is one of the more interesting places for breakfast on the Vineyard. The wait staff are courteous and efficient, and the quality of the food is very good. If you're riding bikes to get from here to there on the Vineyard, Katama... More

Grassy airstrip with small diner. Home of Classic Aviation, which are biplane tours. There's nothing like being strapped into an open cockpit vintage biplane, wearing a leather helmet and goggles, and racing down a grassy strip while hoping you catch air before hitting the sand dunes at South Beach. Amazing experience. Easy access from Edgartown via the #8 VTA bus.... More

The Bi-plane ride is awesome. Went with my dad and brother and got to see the whole island. Thrilling experience and they take anybody from a young age as long as your with a guardian. Its on my list to go again.

We were at the Farm Institute and saw a low flying helicopter. On the way home, stopped at the airfield and there it was! We walked over as others had done, met the Army pilots who welcomed us to get in and look around, and answered operational questions. They were on a training flight and stopped for food and a...
