When the sun's shining in Boston, nothing beats a jaunt to the ocean to feel the sand in your toes. Avoid the trouble of renting a car with this hassle-free full-day excursion, complete with travel from Boston to Martha's Vineyard. Just hop aboard your bus from the city to the shore, where you take a ferry from Cape Cod, and enjoy the day soaking up the sea breeze.

This place offers two rooms, one themed on pirate treasure and one themed on Jaws. We did the pirate treasure room. I've done a couple of escape rooms in the past; this one felt challenging and well put together, with a bunch of different kinds of puzzles to work different kinds of thinking. The host was very nice about offering hints whenever we got stuck, and we got some free goodies from the gift shop for finishing the puzzle in time. He then offered to take a photo of us in front of the pirate and emailed it to us afterwards. Overall, fun for a couple of adults; I think it would be fun for kids as well, or for a larger group.

We had a great time at the Pirate’s Puzzle Escape Room. Got to do the Jaw’s Room, together with four of my friends on my 14th birthday. We had fun, the staff was friendly, and we liked the prizes.

The room was literally about 8x6 feet, crammed into a tiny "replica" of the Orca from Jaws, stuffed into a gift shop. The puzzles were very slapdash, just simple bike locks with references from the movie. The max is 8, but it should be 3. $25 is WAY too much. There are far better escape rooms.

This escape room is awesome. Great way to spend an hour. The owner was helpful, enthusiastic and put a lot of effort into the room and the puzzle. Lots of fun for me, my husband and my nephews. Definitely challenging and very cool. Can't beat a JAWS theme either. Great location in Edgartown too.

When you’ve gone through your tub of sunscreen for the beach, and eaten enough Etuvee of lobster, this is a great way to spend an hour on the Vineyard. It’s a small, cozy location on the lower level of a souvenir store. The proprietor was friendly and helpful. We have a 6 and an 11 year old, and both were able to help with the puzzles. Overall, a fun family experience/memory on vacation.
