The fields in the front have been transformed into a working farm -- a CSA. Vegetables of every description, enthusiastic volunteers and members/customers.

Hidden away in the back are large fields, excellent for riding or walking.

Add this farm hike onto your visit to Noanet Farm across the street.

This year we signed up for Community Supported Agriculture, where you pay a one time fee and then stop by once a week or two to pick up fresh vegetables. This has turned out to be a pleasure my family looks forward to. Each week there is a fresh (in both senses of the word) selection of vegetables. My wife likes figuring out what to do with what the latest haul is.

Besides the veggies, you get to cut yourself flowers or spices or what is on tap for that week.

And it's also pleasant to wander about the farm and say hello to the animals. (The chickens like to be sung to.)

Great place.

I added on some running in Powisset Farm from adjacent Noanet Woods. Caution crossing the road but once in the farm it was very quiet and scenic. Worth the trip.

Showed up and they had a dragqueen story reading day for little kids. He was the scariest thing I've every seen, worse than pennywise. I wonder how many kids went home and had nightmares. These people are nuts. Also, the dragqueen had suspicious symbols that may be related to a serious crime.

I've come here a few times with a small cycling group, and it's a delightful stop.

The cafe was excellent. On different visits, I've had a delicious quiche, frittata, and muffins. At least the times we were there (approx. 10am -> 12pm), it was quite empty with plenty of tables.

The cafe I understand is open Saturdays till sometime in October?

Powisset Farm has a new and innovative program - cooking classes. Walk to the field, pick your ingredients, and bring it all back to a wonderful new kitchen set up in the middle of their classic barn. Last week's class showed how to preserve tomatoes for the winter, lots and lots of tomatoes. You start off in the field and you end the morning with crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, flavored tomato sauce, pealed and sealed tomatoes. All preserved for the long hall. A morning that is fun and informative. You will love working with Rachel and Leah, who were our guides, instructors, and hosts. They are knowledgeable, engaging, and incredibly hospitable.
