    Love this beach
We went at low tide and it was awesome. There were tide pools the kids caught hermit crabs in n huge sandbars w soft sand. The parking can b tricky and costs $30 but we went after noon n had no trouble getting in. Worth it if in the area.

    My favorite beach for years
This is my favorite beach on the whole cape. It’s pretty big so you never feel crowded (unless you choose to put your stuff down right near the entrance to the beach which I have no idea why anyone does this, but they do). The water is warmer because it’s the bay side and if you are worried about sharks, get the Sharktivity app and you will see that the majority of them never go into the bay. No big waves or undertow which make it a very family friendly beach for little ones. When the tide is low there are these warm, large tide pools with tiny silvery fish and hermit crabs. It’s a great beach for skim boarding. I also saw people with inflatable floats. Mayflower expanded parking so it’s less stressful to try to get there in time. On a weekday you could safely arrive between 8:30-9 and be fine. It’s 30 dollars to park. There is a large “snack shack” with a pretty big menu ranging from breakfast sandwiches, ice coffee, ice cream, hot dogs, BLT’s, salads, and even lobster rolls. Too many more menu items to name here. Makes it less stressful if you run out of food in your cooler. I did not have to smell peoples cigarettes or weed (Yay!). I can’t for the life of me understand why other people think you want to hear their music out loud from a speaker (self-centered big time), but this did happen. Fortunately it wasn’t too loud and the music wasn’t awful. Every time I have been, there is never any seaweed when I go. You can look down at your feet in the water and it’s clear with just those pretty sand ripples. Not rocky or many shells at all. If you like bigger waves, more shells and rocks, more wind, and deeper water closer to shore, than this may not be your favorite beach.

    The perfect Cape Cod Beach
Stunningly, beautiful beach. Great for the family. You’ll find plenty of seashells, polish stones, and soft silky sand. Look for colorful sales of the wind surface gliding across the water. It’s a $30 parking fee for non-residence. Make sure you bring cash.

This is by far our favorite beach and we live in the Ocean State. The beach stretches for miles. It's great for little ones at low tide because there are wading areas where they can search for hermit crabs and clams.
We typically go at night for Sunset. Sunsets at this beach are phenomenal!! Everyone lines up to watch the sunsets and actually claps in excitement! You definitely need to add a trip to this beach to your Cape Cod iterinery! You won't regret it!

Arrived as tides were coming back in (~3:40 PM). Paid $20 to park—only a few spaces left. Beach was crowded, but generally people were adhering to 12 feet minimum distance. Nice sand. Tidal pools were near—water rose rapidly. We left for dinner at Sesuit Café, then returned for sunset (~7:20 PM). Even more crowded as people could come without paying for parking after 4:00 PM. Sunset was truly beautiful. Loved the applause as the sun finally dipped below the horizon.

Went here on a recommendation from a local. It was about 30 minutes away, so we struggled with going someplace closer. They are monitoring the number of cars coming in and we were lucky to get in. Since we came on the weekday, the $20 parking fee isn't too bad and a lot cheaper than some of the other locations. Not sure what the limit is, but folks are supposed to set up at least 12 feet apart, which worked for me. More than enough beach to have fun and keep socially distanced. The tide was coming in when we were there, but the waves were reasonable and enough for my middle schoolers. There is a snack bar with basic food items, but was able to bring a cooler in without a problem (no glass bottles). They also have a bathroom available (need to be masked), but didn't see a shower, so not sure if that was taken down, or changing area.

Fire the current manager and hire someone with class, compassion, common sense and a conscience! Still can't believe how he acted! We spent ample money at the Mayflower Snack Bar throughout the day. We were leaving when my niece wanted a chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich. These come packaged and cost $6.00 for one, not cheap for prepackaged, processed food. We bought it and upon opening the package, the cookie and ice cream fell onto the sandy floor in front of the window where one orders. Many sandy bare beach feet had come before us and were in line behind us. The young woman waiting on us felt terrible and went to reach for a replacement when the grumpiest, most unkempt, old manager walked up to her with a grimace that was second to none on his sad face. He motioned angerly toward her and insisted we purchase a new one for full price. This was after seeing the sand covered whole sandwich that had fallen before his eyes. Not even missing a bite! The server was extremely apologetic as she had no choice but to charge us under the manager's hairy eyebrows. Then the manager shot a menacing look at me and disappeared. We told my niece that most people are not purposefully mean like he was. I guess he felt $6.00 was worth more than doing what is right and dignified for a little girl who had an unfortunate accident. I was so saddened. We would have left the price for a new one as a tip with great gratitude. Imagine a food shack doing an amazing business couldn't give up a pre-packaged ice cream for a child! Wow! He should be fired and retrained. I hope no one in his family ever has a child who drops a treat that needs to be replaced. I wouldn't want other kids to see such a lesson in greed and unpleasantness.

It kind of ruins a vacation day when you have to spend your entire day figuring out parking and access! We left our house at 7am and waited in a line that was nearly a mile long to get into the parking lot before 7:45 am! ($30 cash parking fee)They closed the lot just after we got our space which was a long walk with all of our gear to the beach. We put our chairs down near the water and went for a short walk to get a cup of coffee at the snack bar. By the time we returned our chairs and bags had been soaked by the incoming tide. We spent the rest of the morning moving our chairs back and back again from the incoming tide. The nice open beach we thought we had come to became a crowded hot mess. It's a nice beach but very crowded and difficult toget to. Also no waves and lots of seaweed. We had a much nicer experience on the south side beaches of Cape Cod.

Came during a weekday in late April. It was windy and cloudy but the beach was beautiful. I loved the sand here. The tidal pools left behind at low tide allowed my two sons (age 14 and 6) time to explore them. We discovered horseshoe crabs burrowing themselves, hermit crabs, and more. I wish we could've stayed longer to catch the sunset as so many other commenters have mentioned. I can see why folks love it here!

The water almost looks the Carribean. But check the tide charts because when the tide is out, it's out! Also bring water socks, there are rocks at the beginning of the shore. The snack bar has good food. Go early, 7am, as this beach fills up before 8.

This beach is perfect at low tide! It’s great for little kids to play. Once the tides out it’s just soft sand with Little Rock’s to hurt toes. Many kids hunting for shells or crabs. Theirs a expensive food shack at the beach with good food. Biggest plus is plentiful showers to clean off sand before heading home. My biggest piece of advice is to arrive soon as the beach opens to park if the day is good beach weather. We arrived an hour after opening and got 1 of the last parking spots. So check the tides, check the weather, and pack your lunches to save money!
