Historic & beautiful playhouse & grounds! We booked The Music Man a few days ahead. TOP NOTCH! High quality! Was pricey but well worth it! Fantastic cast, acting, singing, dancing, directing, sets, costumes, lighting, orchestra, make up, props, etc. Every seat is a great seat! Snack bar/concessions outside- reasonable, bathrooms, parking, wonderful staff too! Put this place on your Bucket... More

My friend played Harol Hill 40 years ago in a college production. I played Charlie Cowell 10 years ago in Community Theater. Back in the winter, when I heard that "The Music Man" was on the playhouse schedule, we made arrangements to go. We got reservations early and had great seats. It was a Saturday matinee show so that we... More

We saw the performance of "The Last of the Red Hot Lovers" which the Cape Playhouse was starting it's 90th season. We got tickets on line which was a simple click, click and done. The seats we picked (loge front) weren't the best but that was our fault. The atmosphere was great and the crowd was very appreciative of the... More

Attended great murder mystery. Actors were fabulous! Many actors made their debuts there: Gregory Peck, The Gabor Sisters, Shirley Booth (her Oscar is there), Peter Fonda, Betty Davis, and more. Posters of past performanaces from years ago are available for sale in the gift shop. Locally made pastries are for sale during the intermission. Met the director of the Playhouse... More

The Cape Playhouse has consistently presented fine theater. The new producer/director Mark Cuddy has done a fine job adding more musicals and innovative theater (e.g., Second City) to garner more attendance.

Great off Broadway environment. Really impressed with real live professional actors up close and personal. Bumped into Joanne Worley in the gift shop and helped her select a scarf. She was simply gracious and funny.

This is a throwback to a more elegant time in the American Theatre! The gracious building--a huge, shingle-covered barn--is a stunning home for the high-quality work being done. Don't miss the posters of past productions lining the walls of the lobby and balcony: see how many famous faces you recognize who brought great stories to this beautiful stage!
