Not to Be Missed!
Oct 2021 • Couples
We were told at our resort that this falls was hard to find. On the contrary, we had no trouble. A short stretch of dirt road leads to a parking lot on the right. You can hear the falls when you get out of the car. The walk down the hill from the parking lot is a little steep, but a very short hike to the falls. Absolutely beautiful! Pleasantly surprised.

Great visit with kiddos
Aug 2021 • Family
This was the third waterfall we visited that day and was by far the easiest to get to and easiest trail to walk. They did have a bathroom area at the entrance and picnic tables and grills closer to the waterfall. There were lots of huge river rocks for our kids to climb around on and explore which they loved. It is a beautiful little spot. There was a pool at the base of the fall though there were signs saying swimming was not allowed.

Pretty and Peaceful
Sep 2020 • Family
There was no one around when we arrived, so we had plenty of time to explore and take photos.

The main waterfall is pretty, although probably more interesting when there is more waterflow. It is a very short walk from the car park to the waterfall.

There is a longer trail that goes along the stream leading the waterfall, and my family walked it. The trail is not marked, but it is easily identifiable based on looking at the ground. There are lots of spider webs along the trail, so make sure to watch where you are walking.

My daughter is somewhat adventurous, and she had fun climbing on rocks and fallen trees. There are numerous ways down to the stream (although most of them are steep) along the trail.

If you have time, I recommend visiting!

Quiet visit

Beautiful place! Well worth a visit for the and scenery. I grew up swimming there and learned how to tolerate fresh, cold clean water!

Ok but in Dalton to see
Sep 2019
It is a State Forest and probably hiking trails but we had time to pass so went to see the falls. OK but not much unless you look for hiking trails there? Can picnic but we did not see much

Best waterfall near Lenox
Aug 2019
Great place for a picnic, 2 tables and a grill with falls view about 40 yards down a path from the parking lot. No trashcans or bathroom. 40+ foot falls. About a half hour drive north from Lenox. Very steep/rough pathway down hill from parking lot.

Nice falls in a nice setting
Aug 2019 • Friends
The falls were a short walk from the parking lot. The parking area is off route 8. Follow the road by the small sign, up a well maintained dirt road for about 0.1 miles. It’s an easy walk to the falls. Picnic area available. Pleasant adventure.

Short walk to small waterfall - nice experience but not a major outing
Aug 2019
This was a lovely place to sit in the forest overlooking a waterfall. It's not a major hike and it's very hard to find - but we were glad we finally found it.

Little Bit of Paradise Close to the Road
Jun 2019 • Couples
As an older couple, we really enjoyed this as the Falls were very close to the parking lot and yet we were able to feel truly in the woods. People came and went (just 10 the whole time we were there), climbed on the rocks, swam a bit and fished. We were able to get a great view of the Falls without venturing out onto the rocks. Highly recommend!

Worth the search

The big feature of this state park are the falls. Always pretty, during the snow melt the falls are magnificent. Take North Street off Route 9 just after the Dalton line if you are coming from the east, the parking lot is less than a mile off the highway on the right [the dirt road is a little dicey at times [mud season] but trust me, you won't regret the bouncing. There is a short walk on mostly smooth terrain to the falls. There are a few picnic tables and a couple of charcoal grills near the falls. Bring bug spray.
