This beach has a tidal area that is great for kids, a sandbar, snack bar, and kayak/hobie/paddle board rentals. The guys at the rental were so nice and friendly. There is a bit of seaweed but you can avoid it too. Very nice for family...More

Been to ridgevale many times. If you get your parking pass from the gate shack, it allows you access to cockle cove and hardings beach as well! Folks at the snack bar are the best. Beach conditions change daily. One day might be loaded with...More

Cool river area and ocean area all connected. Smaller kids had tons of fun on rivers side catching crabs in nets, using small paddle boards, or wading in the calm sandy clear water. Snack building and bathrooms made for even easier enjoyment for a whole...More

Almost the exact same beach experience of Hardings, which was great. Only negative was the bathroom situation. You would think that if they had a snack shack that serves fried food that they would have something other than outhouses. They also don't give out free...More

My wife and I visited ridgevale beach here in Chatham. It is a quiet family beach with gentle waves and wadding pools. The sand is expansive, the ocean view and breeze is wonderful and the parking is ample and well maintained.

Quiet beach, protected from big surf by being on sound. The can rent hobie cats, kayaks. Lifeguard, snake shack, port-a-potties, fee for parking ($10)

We went to this beach later on in the day and had the whole place to ourselves. After walking around for a bit we discovered horseshoe crabs were hanging out on the shoreline. Apparently the conditions were perfect for them to work on making smaller...More
