Nice soft sand. Family friendly. Nice area for little kids. Rentals and snack bar on site. Lots of seaweed, I know it's a beach but other beaches are not this bad. Also no cleaning station to rinse off

Lots of seaweed but it's the beach! Tide pools are good for the kids to play in. My biggest compliant -- There was no fresh water rinse down to get cleaned up.

The rake has finally gotten to Ridgevale!!! Late June it was a mess when we were down for a long weekend. The rake can only get to Ridgevale from Cockle Cove. Just last week enough sand had been pumped onto Cockle Cove to allow that...More

Definitely trust the reviews - this is not a beach for swimming. The tidepool / river is great for kids to explore and find hermit crabs and shells. We stayed here for two hours and headed to another beach for swimming.

So since Cockle Cove Beach eroded due to the storms in March, the mechanical rakers no longer have access to clear the seaweed on Ridgevale. I went there for the first time this year and it was pretty awful. I felt badly for the people...More

This beach is picturesque. It has tide pools that the small children really enjoy, and the bay is back to back with the pools. It's funny to see everyone facing whichever way as they focus on whichever beach. There's a snack bar associated with the...More

there are some lovely beaches on the Cape, but this is not one of them. It is small and covered in seawwed. Would not want to sit on this all day (or pay $20 to park). OK for a visit...but go after 5.30 when you...More

We have tried stand up paddleboarding in other areas and it was difficult with choppy water and motorboats going by. This place is the best...you can enjoy an approx 4 mile stretch of calm ocean water on inlets, or choose to head out to the...More

We saw lots of beaches throughout the Cape including Nantucket and the Vineyard. Ridgevale Beach is in the top ten if not top five. Parking is the biggest negative, but it's directly linked to how popular this beach is. The fee was $15-20 to park....More
