It was cold and rainy but it was still nice to walk along this beautiful stretch of beach. Definitely worth the trip if you are in the area.

great spot to view the ocean and Monomoy Island. you can see seals basking in the sun and enjoy the gulls flying overhead. not recommended for swimming as the current is swift and ever changing.

Loved the lighthouse and the view. There was parking. It was just a freezing, windy day. Very few people made it to the actual beach. But I think it would be nicer once it's high season.

My new wife and I really enjoyed a relaxing day just hanging out and enjoying the scenery. there was a neat little boardwalk with the payoff of seating at the end where we got to be completly disconnected and enjoy one another's comapany.

One of the best views on the Cape. Picturesque Chatham Light to one side, and an elevated view to seaward. The sand is constantly evolving, and at last visit, the channel was once again open to Monomoy Island, Harding's Beach and Nantucket Sound. Tidal currents...More

Visited at the end of the summer - what a beautiful venue! The beach is almost completely protected by sand bars making the waves benign. The down sides include the heavy private boat traffic and the danger of sharks due to the large population of...More

A great place : quite wide beaches, natural sand, sheltered from the wind and high waves, not too crowded and with a bit of luck in the company of seals. ,

Great question! There is 30 minute parking in the lot along the road at the beach. It is enforced, and during the summer often not available. There is also a parking lot less than a mile away in Chatham center where parking... More
