    Walking on water
Ok there are a couple of issues: shark warning signs and rip currents…. That doesn’t stop me from coming back to this fabulous place. Enter the beach, make a right and keep walking and you’ll see what I mean: blue water and sand dunes with high and low tides that create shallow pools… it’s truly a magical place!

    Stunning Beach
We had a great time here in July. You can't park at the top of the beach, parking is only for 30 minutes there. We parked around the corner which was great value and they provided transport to the beach which was cool. The beach was stunning, it was great seeing the Great White Shark signs. The sand was the best ever and the water was lovely. It was great for kids. Would highly recommend.

A memorable experience at Chatham’s Lighthouse Beach
This is an incredible end of the earth type if beach. There are seals playing and sunning just off the beach and the views are amazing. The Chatham blue water changes with the weather and time of day/year. For photographers there are never ending subjects to photograph. Be sure to visit the beach shack and leave a message in the book.

    Pleasurable spot....
With the lighthouse on one side of the road, and the beach on the other; this is an especially pleasurable spot to stop, and enjoy yet another engaging section of the shoreline. Being mid-May, this location was busy; but not uncomfortably so. Parking was readily available; and strolling along, was leisurely and unharried. This location is one, of so many wonderful natural opportunities, that can be experienced on the Cape.

    Try it...it is cool.
Today we drove from west yarmouth to chatham to see the beach and lighthouse. We actually didn't go down to the beach but we enjoyed the view and the vibe. Lots of couples and familes stopped to take pictures. A few minutes away is the very touristy town of chatham. A nice way ro spend an hour.

Gorgeous beach, hardly marred at all by the large sign with a big picture of a great white shark on it. There is a small amount of parking on the road, opposite the lighthouse. The beach looks out onto what appears to be a spit of land, but is actually an island; so it feels as if you are on the edge of a peaceful lagoon. The water is very shallow and there were quite a few people swimming and jet-skiing and enjoying the water when we were there. Nevertheless, we only paddled because we had decided to visit Chatham that afternoon and didn’t want out plans disrupted by a shark attack.

We stayed at the Chatham Inn that was a short 5 min walk to the beach. I don't think there were more than 50 people on the beach and it was a picture perfect 80 degree day. If you want a quiet stretch of sand to read a book and enjoy the day...this is it.

The beach was a short walk from our B&B. It is so beautiful. 1One morning I was almost by myself for quite a bit of time before others joined the walking, mostly with their cute dogs who were having so much fun in and out of the water. Fun to look at the beautiful homes too. Good exercise, fresh salt air, beautiful scenery. All for free!

The beach is located across the street from the Chatham Lighthouse. We stopped by late in the day to see the lighthouse but ended up taking a walk on the beach. Pretty area to sit and watch the water. Small, free parking area doubles for beach and lighthouse viewing.

We drove up Shore road just after New Years this month and took pictures. There was a Sea bird perched on a post in front of our car I was able to photograph inches from it. We also took pictures behind us of the Lighthouse. There are historical items to see and read and places to read about the area and nature.

We've been coming to the Cape for 15 years. It never disappoints. This time we decided to try a new beach (Skaket, on the Bay side, is our go-to) so we tried Chatham Lighthouse Beach. Completely different experience! You're looking at the ocean, seals-maybe even sharks. This is the Powerful Part of the Cape for us. We'll be back!
