Went in to get my kids some summer reading and it was clear they take great care in what they stock for books. Titles were interesting and easy to find. Good tween section.

We visited this charming local bookstore to find some books for our 1 year old daughter. The children’s section is beautifully set up with well thought out displays and hand written recommendations from the owner, which we found very useful. The store is very child friendly and our little girl loved exploring the space.

The owner was so friendly, not at all pushy, and very knowledgable, especially about local authors, many of whom visit the store for readings and provide signed copies of the books. We ended up buying quite a few books, just because her recommendations were so good! One of our favourite shops during our visit.

Stop by and chat with the staff, they have great recommendations! We did some Christmas shopping while we were here. The building is beautiful and immaculate. Can you order books cheaper on-line, sure, but we need these independent booksellers for the pure enjoyment of holding books and talking to people. Buy some books here and keep places like this in business !!!

This bookstore was absolutely incredible. There's a wide selection with dozens of books recommended by the staff, with detailed explanations as to why you should buy this book right now! Many popular titles were easy to find, and they have an extensive early reader/middle grade/young adult selection upstairs. They also have a wide selection of autographed books available, as well as a number of books about the Cape.

An employee was kind enough to give me suggestions and recommendations, and I look forward to reading those selections! She also gave me extra bookmarks when I asked because I collect them.

All in all, a great independent bookstore in a cute little town on the Cape. They also offer coffee for bookworms and their family members! ;)

I like to support independent bookstores. This has lots of current and best selling books and hostess gifts. Note that the children's books are in a separate building across a breezeway.

Where the Sidewalk Ends is full of opportunities to find the latest books, hear wonderful authors, buy educational games and unique gifts... support indie stores like this one where the staff is friendly and helpful and yet allows you the pleasure of browsing in a store chock full of ideas. Enjoy the experience, rainy or sunshiny. Look for children's talks every Wednesday in the summer.

Young children to adult books: best sellers to rare. Great stop to do some shopping. Story times as well. Lots of stock and a coffee bar to boot.

This is the best book store on the outer Cape. Set in a two-story house toward the end of Chatham's main street, it is a library of interest to all ages. Somewhat of a throw back to the past before the Internet reset our appreciation of the written word, this store not only celebrates books but encourages customers to become regular readers. All contemporary best sellers are featured along with a fine selection of fiction and nonfiction that covers history, biography, mystery, science, travel, etc. Very good collection of books focused on Cape Cod. Can't find it? -- check with the staff who will order it for quick delivery.

The clever title is the first hint; this is a great place! It is in fact 'where the sidewalk ends'. What a great name for a book store (named after the poetry collection by Shel Silverstein)!
