Captain Jeff is outstanding and very knowledgeable about the local area in all aspects of its history and fishing. He was able to put us on the fish at several different locations. He is very friendly and a great charter captain. Would highly recommend to any one looking for a fun day fishing

Jeff is a courteous, professional, no nonsense fishing and wildlife guide with a really great boat for getting to and from the fishing areas quickly and safely. He is a knowledgeable and patient teacher when it comes to techniques for getting a fish on the line. He also provides interesting and informative historical and biological information about the areas that we visited. He's a great person who also shares anecdotal stories and listens to his clients' stories actively in kind.
We caught several stripers and my son landed his first 31 inch fish thanks to Jeff's guidance. The look on my son's face was priceless. My father and I also caught several fish and the experience was worth every penny. I would book this tour again without hesitation. Recommend!

Great day on the water with my wife and 3 teenage daughters. Captain Jeffrey is incredibly helpful and patient. He is a fountain of knowledge of the wildlife, history and culture of the Cape. We caught about 20 fish including sea bass and blues. He went out of his way to take us to sea seal colonies and to look for Great Whites. Great day. Highly recommend.

We had a fabulous day of fishing with Captain Jeff! He was informative, shared interesting history about the sites we saw, and ensured that we all hooked some fish. It was a great experience and we will definitely do it again.

We booked a harbor cruise and ecotour with Zen late in August. What a blast we had. Jeff was a great host/captain. The boat is located in an area with easy parking access. We boarded a little before noon and headed out to the harbor. Jeff was a great tour guide as we headed out- answering all our questions, pointing out the birds and seals and telling us about the land marks we were passing. As a family we really didn’t have much of a plan- we wanted to see white sharks but when researching that we realized the only way to be successful was to secure a spotter plane which was a bit cost prohibitive. So we asked Jeff if we could cruise “shark alley” and just have a couple hours on the water. Well- he did not disappoint. Shortly after exiting the harbor we saw two sunfish which were huge. We then headed out a bit further to see if we could find some whales...not long after arriving where Jeff thought we’d see some action we saw a whale surface. We saw humpbacks and a minke whale - it was so awesome to see them from a small boat vs the big commercial whale watch boats out of Provincetown or Plymouth. We concluded the trip with a ride up Nauset beach where we were lucky enough to see the NMFS boat that’s tagging sharks. We were able to watch (from a safe and respectful distance) as they were tracking and trying to tag white sharks- what an experience. It was so much fun being able to see their research up close. I have to say this is definitely the highlight of our family vacation. I can’t wait to do this again next summer. I highly recommend Zen Charters.

I had the pleasure of hopping aboard the Zen Charter boat with 4 other college friends who had not been together in over 20 years. Jeff was a laid back and well-informed Captain from the minute he greeted us and it made our group's reunion all the more enjoyable. He went over the standard safety protocols before we left the dock and then gave us a solid overview of what to expect during the next few hours as we got our lines wet. Before too long we were hooked on keepers and that was a trend that continued throughout the day. The boat was extremely clean and was as comfortable as it was very well-equipped. He was more than willing to play anything we wanted on his stereo and walked us through what his on-board displays were telling him at any point we asked. If we landed in an area where the stripers weren't biting, he was quick on the gas to put us in a good position. Once we returned to the dock he filleted the fish for us and we all left with plenty of portions. The trip was so good that the group has already committed to making this a yearly endeavor with Zen Charters. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a great chartered experience off the Cape!

We went charter fishing, deep sea. All four of us caught at least one fish, and our biggest was a 38” Striped Bass! Jeffrey was awesome, and a wonderful captain. This is the way to go!

I have booked multiple charters over the past several summers with Zen Charters. Captain Jeffrey is extremely knowledgeable, highly skilled, and a lot of fun! When we have gone on an eco-tour, he always found the best spots to see seals, whales, and all kinds of fish! When we had a group who wanted to fish, he knew exactly where to go to reel them in! He is also full of interesting facts about the Chatham area, and we always have a great time! You won't regret booking your next charter with Zen!

Me and another dad took our 9 year old sons out on the water with Jeff for a fun afternoon on the water. Jeff is very knowledgable about how to catch fish and was a great guide. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him for anyone looking to catch fish and have a great time.

My friends and I have used Zen Charters multiple times the last few years and we see something new each time! Whether your interests are to fish or to do an Eco-Tour, Captain Jeff is your man! He is knowledgeable and friendly and is the perfect guide for a day on the beautiful Cape Cod waters! My favorite trip by far has been the one where we saw at least 30-40 whales - something I will never forget. ZEN CHARTERS is the BEST!!
