Patriots will want to visit the superbly maintained Chatham lighthouse when there's a strong gale and the American flag is beautifully flying. Everybody else will want to combine a visit of the Chatham lighthouse with a stroll on the finest of sands of the beach, where strange contraptions will satisfy their taste for curiosa. Well worth it. Satisfaction guaranteed. Or... More

Went to the lighthouse in January to see the views of Pleasant bay and to walk our dog. Dogs are allowed in the winter and it was a nice beach for him to run around

This is always a fun stop to see this historical landmark while in the Chatham area. Depending on the time of year, it might be hard to find a parking spot.

A great landmark to include in a tour of Chatham. Parking nearby. Combine with a walk on the beautiful beach. Local history to be found nearby.

Not only a perfect typical New England lighthouse, but also a place of historical importance: the lighthouse played significant role in the rescue operation of tanker Pendleton in February of 1952 when it broke in half during severe Nor'easter. Read the signage boards - very interesting information.

I always find it fascinating to go to a lighthouse & see what they see from that point! They also have a wonderful beach there that was fun climbing down the steps to get to it & see the seals - met people from all over.

It doesn't take long to see it all. Quintessential Cape Cod lighthouse, views, and beach in one spot. Free parking (for an hour?). The lighthouse is open very little every month. Pictures outside the fence were fine for us. We walked down to the beach. Of course, the water is cold. Again, take a few pictures, read the information placards,... More

We took a walk from the center of town and found this gem there!! It also has a beautiful area to watch sharks and seals from the beach.

A brief stop on a perfect fall day. You cannot go inside the lighthouse but you can read about the history of it, its sister, the coast guard and some maritime history. Limited parking..
