    Perfect Beach Trip
Awesome little beach! Couldn't ask for much more- lots of parking, snack shop across the street, and bathrooms on site (note: bathrooms close at 4:30 pm). Parking was $25 a car, but parking pass also gave you free parking for 4 or 5 other beaches on the same day. Very clean beach and water was warm for our August visit. Seaweed/shells are abundant at the edge of the water, so you may want to consider water shoes. Overall, great day at Craigville Beach and would recommend to others!

The quiet season is the best time to visit
Now that the crowds are gone and it is easy to park, it is the best time to hit Craigville Beach. With warm days still remaining, there is still time for a little sunbathing or swim if you like. However, my favorite is the long walks this beach affords in either direction. Strolling the surf line is not only some great exercise, but also the best place to see what treasures the tide has brought in. With fewer visitors competing, you may just find that special seashell.

    warm water,many sea shells
this beach has 3parts. you can only park in the 1st part if you have a resident permit parkingt ticket(green colour). the 2nd part is open to public. the 3rd part is private beach. the waters there are warm enough for cape cod. its a nice place for the kids also to play if the water is low, since it doesnt steep deep suddenly but rather goes on a straight level slowly getting deep. there are weeds at the start, but inside the water is clean. also it a heaven for the sea shells lovers. many of them being washed out. there are lifeguards on duty there. also a shower outside. but the restrooms are closed here. you will have to go the 1st part of beach to use them. overall a nice place to relax and hav fun. also for persons with wheelchairs, they have a small ramp extending to half of beach and a bench to sit there.

We visited this beach last week and I am confused by the great reviews. We visit the cape every year and have been 2 many of its beaches. This was not a favorite. The water was dingy and full of seaweed. It was also very crowded. We went later in the day 2 avoid the crowds and were met w a parking lot at capacity and directed to a field further down across the street to park at. It was also very crammed feeling at the actual beach. They do have nice amenities on site, but in my opinion there r much nicer beaches in the area and we will not b returning here.

I think. The People leaving these reviews haven't a clue what a nice beach is. Happens alot with Cape Cod lovers or the Locals. For the amount of money this beach makes on parking. Cape Cod, Barnstable, craigsville should be ashamed of themselves. I would spent atleast a week at the keep every summer and countless amounts of weekends . Last summer was it. I've had enough. This beach is becoming worse by the year. I brought my 5 year old with me. The amount of sea weeds and other nasty looking I don't even know what. Lets just leave it at you won't make it into the water. It is absolutely filthy and I've tried. To give the Cape in general but especially this beach the benefit of the doubt. Maybe just some bad tides on a bad week, but nope I've gone several weekends back to back. The water is dirty and nasty and I wouldn't step a foot in that water.never mind let your small children play near the water and sand. What does the town do with all the money? Can't they hire a few people.to.clean the beach, maybe buy a tractor with some cleaning attachments. Don't say I didn't warn you and for everyone else. Stop thinking of the Cape 1980s or 90s leave a review of how the beach is now. Show some pictures of the water. . They won't because its Nastyyyy!

Craigville Beach is just a few minutes by car west of Main Street in Hyannis, and the hotels along Routes 28 and 132.

Like most other beaches on Cape Cod, this one has an usage / parking fee. However, it can be avoided if you go later on in the day or early evening.

During our August 2008 trip, we checked out this beach shortly after checking into our Hotel in Hyannis. The beach was lovely, and a great spot to spend a late afternoon. As with all Cape Cod beaches that front onto Nantucket Sound the water was warm and fairly calm. We had a great time bobbing in the waves, and sitting in our lawn chairs with our feet in the sand, a great way to get acclimatized to the slower pace of the Cape.

Craigville is divided into 3 beaches. The end closest to Hyannis is a residents only beach that requires a sticker. The center section is a private beach with cabanas & restaurant. The other end is for young people and it is packed with teens and those on their 20's. All have great sandy beaches with great swimming. Lifeguards on duty from 1st weekend in June until Labor day.

The beach has a big parking lot, but charges $20 per day (no overnight parking). The beach itself is beautiful and well-maintained. You'll find enough people, from teens playing card games, volleyball, to families where parents read a book or two and children playing in the sand building sand-castles.

The waters's edge is lined up with many shells, so be careful when you walk. The water itself is not too salty (eyes won't burn a lot) but it isn't clear either. It has a greenish-yellowish tinge mainly perhaps due to a lot of plankton floating around.

Lastly, the beach has a bathroom where you can change clothes or use the restroom, There are 2 showers outside the bathroom attached on the outside of the building, one on Men's side and other on Women's side.

Craigville Beach is very close to our summer rental in Hyannis so we end up spending most of our beach time here. Its convenient, clean and has plenty of room both on the sand and in the parking lots. We came 3rd week of June so no lifeguards were present however the "hawks" at the gate were present collecting the $15.00 parking fee. On several days, the parking attendants even tried collecting money after the mandated paying time which this year is 3:45pm. Beware of this scam, just bypass them. I believe they try to pocket anything they can get after 3:45pm. If your close by I would recommend dropping the family off then parking the car back at your hotel/rental and either walking or biking back to the beach. Sometimes its not worth paying the hefty fee($20.00 on weekends!) for just a couple of hours on the beach. A nice snack bar is present across from the beach(The Barnacle) and food is very good. Bathrooms and changing stations also present.

Less than a half hour drive from the Sagamore bridge, Craigville Beach has nice course sand and shells so even if it's windy the sand stays put. The water is warm and today there were nice waves that made it fun to bob up and down. Plenty of lifeguards to ensure your safety and a large bath house with rest rooms and showers. Directly across the street are two places to order food - The Craigville Beach Grill and Barnicles. Only $15 for a beach parking pass for the day!

We love Craigville beach. It's clean and there is plenty of parking. Some days the water may be very still but most of the time there are nice size waves to satisfy the whole family! We vacation near Craigville beach every summer. You get a great beach and you don't have to deal with congestion of RT 28 unless you choose to! The Country store and Four Seas Ice Cream are just around the corner! Local food stands offer hamburgers, hotdogs, fries and the like in terms of food.

Nice beach, not very crowed unless you come on a weekend, sandy beach, not to many shells to walk on when you entering the sea. ….. but beautiful orange shells to find if you carefully look around…. Never ever I saw such a beauty… pearly-almost see though and Orange . Swimming area is not small and even my husband who likes to swim far was satisfied. Draw back that bathrooms are closing at 4:30 and they take all the trash cans away by 5pm when lifeguards leave. Parking is $15/day no weekly pass
