Some of the friendliest people we met on our trip. We had just been to another bog where you need to reserve a trip to the field in advance. Not the case at Flax, although we spent most of the time watching them load the...More

Massachusetts is famous for cranberries and there are a number of farms open to the public. We researched and decided to visit this traditional dry cranberry farm. The owners were really enthusiastic and eager to tell us about growing cranberries, farming techniques, how to sort...More

This cranberry farm is low-key, but oh, so welcoming! And it's free, no reservations required. The kindly older woman in the shop urged us to go to the field to see the people harvesting cranberries--no water required! People pushed machines to gather the cranberries, which...More

Working, old style, Cranberry farm, just a short drive from Plymouth Town. In business since the 1890's, much of the old equipment is still in use today and you are shown the equipment in use. Well worth a visit to see a large Cranberry bog,...More

This is one of the few cranberry farms that offer a tour without reservations and we loved it. Very informal, but packed with information and we actually got to see dry harvesting of the cranberries. Highly recommend.

Great cranberry learning experience and tour. The owners are lovely, gracious people who provide a wonderful visit. There is something for everyone in their gift shop. Oh, and it's Chritmas tree farm too! Well worth a visit.

I was visiting a friend in Massachusetts and she thought of going here. It's a little hard to find (our gps took us to a deadend road at first, but we eventually figured it out after calling the farm for help) - but, it's well...More

My wife and I were on a bus tour this past spring and the highlight of our tour was stopping at Flax Pond Farms. This was or should I say, gave us a much better understanding about cranberries. The owners of this great place explained...More

I don't know about September. We went in October. The farm shop, which has demos, is open every day as I recall. The tours are both self directed and with a "guide" and were all walking tours. This bog does "dry" harvest... More
