Recent major renovations

The church is now more open, sunny and spacious making it a warmer, welcoming experience. Church fundraising events such as the Tea are very popular and not to be missed.

A Vibrant Faith Community
Aug 2017 • Family
St. Mary's is a vibrant faith community committed to serving God, each other, and the community around us. Volunteers give thousands of hours of time each year to feed the homeless, take care of our elders, minister to the incarcerated, and serve low-income children in schools and through feeding programs.

The gardens are gorgeous. The stained glass windows by Charles J. Connick are worth stopping by to see. A beautiful place!

Welcoming Community
Aug 2017 • Couples
This was my first visit to the church, although I have been coming to the Cape for years. It is a lovely building, the service was what I expected and there was a BBQ afterwards for two of the congregation who had just turned 100! The gardens are lovely no matter what time of day to walk around and be at peace.

Truly a beautiful experience
May 2014 • Family
This historic church is a special treat both physically and spiritually. The architecture is stunning and it is surrounded by meticulously tended gardens to enjoy after services. The priest, Libby, is delightfully articulate and thought provoking and never fails to deliver a service that sends you away with food for thought and the soul.

Barnstable Village's Only Episcopal Church

Traditional in an old fashion way. Lots of dark wood, very open and spacious. Very attractive. Large well kept gardens in back frequently host tea parties. Warm and friendly congregation spanning toddlers to the ancients. A very active church.

Very nice
Quaint, little, roadside church. Membership are very friendly and inviting. You don't have to know anyone to attend services, or functions. You feel like family. The gardens are beautiful in spring and summer, bring your camera.

Only the loveliest church on the cape!
Mar 2012 • Couples
Last year I returned to my Episcopal roots as we became members of this parish, lured by its diversity (relative to the rest of Cape Cod!), its enthusiastic rector, cordial congregation, and serenely beautiful surroundings, including an extensive, natural garden which lures visitors and congregants alike. The church itself is a combination of New England and Europe, spare in its wooden architecture and stained glass emblems of Cape Cod, but almost restrainededly gothic in its eclectic collection of sacred mementos from a past rector's world travels and contrastingly liturgical stained glass windows. Lately, during our search for a new priest, we have an interim rector who is both a delightfully unrestrained and skilled speaker, and an inspiring thinker, unafraid to challenge the norm. (Would that he could stay forever!) I'm sure this would be a welcoming spot for travellers to stop and contemplate, pray, or just smell the roses.

a retreat for those who ate to much on Old King's Highway.

The garden is a walk with God.....and then some!! Take some moments from the winding roads, sand dunes and salty air. Say a pray for the Oak trees , the renovations of the Sea Captain's Homes and Hallet's Drug Store.
