Graceless Experiencer
Nov 2021
Such a disappointment. The big beautiful building that they refer to as their tasting room is no such thing. We showed up on a chilly, windy November day, but all seating was outside. There were outside heaters, but with no barriers to hold in the heat they were useless.

We ordered pizza, which was actually quite good, but served to us as if we were getting carry out. Plop the boxes on the table. When we wanted to go inside to have a tasting, we learned that we could order a flight and drink it outside. Not my idea of a tasting.

Hoping to warm up a bit, we ordered the spiked cocoa. So disappointed to receive about 8 ounces of the drink in a paper cup- so gauche! For $12 one would think that the drink would warrant a mug. Will not be returning.

Just OK
May 2021
When you walk up, they definitely are trying to get the Napa/Sonoma vibe going but it kinda ends there. Serpent Ridge and Black Ankle are significantly better if you’re going for the wine and “experience”. We left and went to Black Ankle and had an amazing tasting of “real” wine. Old Westminster rose literally said “tastes like a lemon warhead”. No thank you.

Wonderful way to spend an afternoon
May 2021 • Friends
We visited this lovely winery on a picture perfect Sunday afternoon. We enjoyed a flight of wine and delicious pizza. The experience was top notch from the warm greeting from our hostess to the excellent service from our servers Aaron and Steve. Hearing live music was an unexpected treat as well. So nice to see a place that really cares about their patrons and is so active in their community! Keep up the great work! We will return!

Afternoon of wine
Jan 2021 • Friends
Well let's start with the good part. They are a dry winery not much sweet wines at all just dry, but I like dry my wife likes sweet so nothing for her, they are good dry wines though. My wife, daughter and myself went in January it was 30 degrees and breezy. They were not seating inside only outside on porch, which we were not informed. They had no plastic walls up like many other restaurants and wineries during this pandemic. The heater that was on did no good without a way to keep heat in. While us the paying customers sat outside the employees sat inside taking up tables. If they are seating people outside they need walls up to block wind along with space heaters. For this inconvenience we were charged $10 a glass plus automatic 10% gratuity. They care nothing about customers and not sure we will return.

Nice venue with plenty of parking. Excellent Rose that I always enjoy especially in the heat of summer. Pleasant staff and lots of room to socially distance. Music on Fridays - check the website

Another Great Winery IN the DC Area
May 2019
There are so many great wineries in the DC area. This one is every bit as good as the others. What I did like about this one is that they had a very nice rose to try. Normally, I stick to whites, but this was a nice change and perfect for the warm weather. My wife and I had a wonderful afternoon visiting with another couple who live in the area. If you do the winery tours, then add this one to the list.

Awesome Food Truck Friday in August at OWW - You need to visit!
Aug 2019 • Couples
My wife and our adult daughter visited at the end of August for their food truck Friday event. We love the food from Eki-Ben, and they were there during this visit. Great people and awesome food - Thai curry chicken with a mango slaw, pickled onions, on either a rice bun or rice. Tasted fantastic.

We tried the new Heirloom white wine and the white sangria pitcher and both were excellent.

It was a great night, a lot of people, but the food was served fresh, hot, and timely. The tasting room is great and service is as quick or slow as you want it. You can eat indoors or out.

OWW has great musicians accompanying the food, and this night was excellent as well/.

We love that this is a family business with thoughtful, kind, and relational staff.

This is a must visit winery with a lot of variety and new creative wines and the old standards as well.

Turned us away
Jul 2019 • Friends
I went to this winery with my boyfriends mom and we arrived at 4 pm. This website said they close at 5 pm and they turned ya away and we were not able to experience it. I was highly disappointed with this considering there were only 2 of us and they refused to accommodate us.

Pleasant afternoon
May 2019 • Family
We stopped by Old Westminster Winery on a nice sunny day and were very pleasantly surprised. We did the 5 wine flight ($10) tasting inside with a very nice, pretty knowledgeable and enthusiastic employee. It was such a beautiful day, we then purchased a bottle of wine and a meat/cheese board and headed outside. The yard was full of different seating arrangements, and various groups were there enjoying the weather and lovely views. Nice way to spend an afternoon.
