Great train

I saw a ticket for $6 per person for a tour train. What a bargain. I left my copy of the tickets in a bag and the cashier asked me how did I purchase my tickets, I told him... read more

I saw a ticket for $6 per person for a tour train. What a bargain. I left my copy of the tickets in a bag and the cashier asked me how did I purchase my tickets, I told him Certikid. He had the tickets with my name on it. The conductors were in the station when my friend asked about... More

My wife and I went to the WALKERSVILLE SOUTHERN Rail Road with a group of folks from the Savage United Methodist Church, to celeabrate a birthday. The whole experience with Rail Road was perfect. The food was great, the service personnel couldn't do enough to enhance the experience. The actors were entertaining and funny. Everyone thourghly enjoyed themselves.

What a fun time we had on the old train with the cast from a playhouse helping us to a mystery dinner. It was a lot of fun with interaction and the outcome was a surprise for many. The food was a really nice surprise as it was so good. A restaurant in Emmittsburg, Pa supplied the meals. We had... More

I was really disappointed. The food was good but the train experience was not what we expected. The air conditioning and lights went out. We saw lots of back yards and the scenery was corn fields, honeysuckle and chopped down bushes. The train went one way and then backed up and went past the station the other way. We got... More

A small, but fun tourist railroad operation. The consist is usually pulled by smaller switch locomotives with two open cars, two enclosed couches, and a caboose. The ride goes out (south) about 30 minutes to Frederick, then returns after a couple minutes stop. I rode the open car. Beware if you have small kids on the open cars as they... More

Only about 6 3/4 miles in length, but a good trip through history on vintage steam equipment. Steam doesn't run all the time, so check their schedule if this is your focus. Special trips throughout the year, including a Santa train. Also, dinner trains. Ample parking. Fares are cheap. The line was built in the early 1870's It went from... More

My little ones go nuts for trains and this was an adventure. We took the cowboy train in the summer. The crew and the train is set up wild west style and the train stops fand the scenes unfold right outside the train. The robbers then come on the train and "rob" you and take off with the loot. Then... More

I got tickets for 20 family members to help celebrate my mom's Birthday! Everyone loved it and had a great time. The food was great, and the actors proved to be good at adlibbing on the spot thanks in part to some of my family members trying to get into the act. And I can not say enough about the... More

The train ride was nice but we were traveling with a 3 yr old & 7 yr old. We should have taken them when there was a "special" theme.

The food was AWESOME, the actors were fabulous, funny, and great entertainment. The train was really put together well and the servers were really nice and friendly. I liked it so much we are doing it again this year 2015- and the menu looks even better this year :-) I highly recommend it.
