A long trail with some challenging biking terrain. Not loads to see, but a great way to get out and see some new areas of DC and access them by bike w/o getting hit by some text-happy driver.

I started my visit at the intersection of Wayne Avenue and Sligo Parkway where speed limits alternate between 20 to 25 miles per hour. There are many "humps" along the way, making drivers to slow down at 20 miles. Located along the parkway are some...More

I did Jr.High around Sligo Creek, back in the mid '60s. In the freezing winter we would shoe skate over the frozen stream. Beautiful, yet much more sentimental to me.

Best place to free up your mind. Simply lovely and beautiful. If you are a big nature lover this is the place to see this summer. A place you can see different birds 🦅 and animals. The stream brings serenity and tranquility to the scenery.

My wife and I use the trail system to train for our running. Quite a few runners use the paved trail for training. You are mainly in the woods along a creek between New Hampshire Ave and Wheaton Regional Park. We do occasionally run the...More
