The Salisbury zoo has really grown and improved over the years. They have spent lots of money updating the exhibits and making them better for the animals. I have been coming here since I was a little girl. Have been to many zoos and for the size and cost (still free I think) it is the best in the country.

Great place to visit if your young or old. Best time to visit is around 10am. Animals have just been feed and are real active.

This zoo is certainly wonderful to have in our small town of Salisbury. They have some older animals and many birds. They provide a safe place for zoo animals that are older or have some health problems that need special care.

for a small zoo, this place is excellent. Local animals as well as exotic. Ben's Red Swings, a huge playground at the end of the zoo is always a hit with the kids. Totally enclosed by a tall fence so no worries about losing your children.

My toddler had a great time pointing out all the ducks. The hubby loved the bear. Good playgrounds close by too.

If you are in the town of Salisbury and wish to see a cool exhibit, the zoo is perfect. At least a half hour of walk through fun. They have ducks monkeys flamingos bison llamas and more! This is perfect for small children our two year old son walks through it holding our hand enjoying the animals. Bring a stroller... More

The zookeepers are very nice and the animals themselves are very interesting. There is a wide variety and there are many interesting animals available, especially for a small city. The adjacency to the park means that you can take a nice walk and then go to the zoo. As a bonus, the exhibits provide a lot of information about the... More

Zoo is free which is great! Any donation is appreciated. Small enough to see everything within an hour. Good for small children. A lot of trees keeps the zoo shaded which is nice. I have also been here for their Halloween gathering usually 2 weeks before Halloween which my 2 year old daughter enjoyed.

A small zoo that luckily belongs to the Association of Zoo and Aquariums (a sign of a zoo that cares). There is a good variety of animals on an American theme (N, Central, and S America). Unfortunately, many were hiding when we visited (it was hot), but it was still a great experience. Especially considering it was free.
