Nice little zoo

I sometimes stop off here on my way to Ocean City, MD. It takes me about an hour to see everything and it's a nice way to get out of the car for a while.

The Salisbury Zoo is a nice FREE zoo. I have visited MANY times over the years (decades). My Mom took us kids when we were little. Now that I am grown, I take my own kids. This zoo is a small park. You can easily walk it in under an hour, but could spend more time here IF you wanted.... More

Went to the Salisbury Zoo with friends from PA . It is always a lot of fun to visit the zoo so many things to see . The zoo is well maintained and easy to walk through. You can go any time of the year and find different thing to look at. Great for the family.

Nice zoo in the middle of salisbury. Close to the college. Nice to go and walk around when it isnt so hot. Its a small zoo with a few animals but is very cool to take the smaller kids. There is a nice play area there also for the kids.

This small hidden gem is a great place for families, couples, or just to walk or run in the middle of the day. This zoo is clean, well landscaped and the docents who support the zoo have lots to offer if you want to stop and chat! We learned a great deal about the herbs at this zoo the day... More

Cities *should* have facilities in which people can encounter nature and think about their own place in the world. Kids *ought* to have places where they can experience animals living their lives in unedited, unscripted ways. But keeping animals in captivity is serious business, and it ought not to be done lightly. Sadly, Salisbury Zoo is past it's prime, and... More

We had a wonderful time at the Salisbury Zoo. It was free, so we gave a generous donation and truly enjoyed the experience. The bear was a highlight of the trip, he seemed all too happy to pose, play, and show off for guests. We were sorry to have missed out on seeing the bobcat, sloth, and river otters, but... More

This is not some big city zoo. However it is quite enjoyable for the kids. You will not find lots of exotic animals here, but don,t let that stop you. It is well maintained and a cheap day.

While this zoo is somewhat small, it has a great variety of animals, and almost all the walkways are shaded by trees, which makes so much more comfortable to walk around with children! We always visit the incredible playground - Ben's Red Swings - after looking at the animals and that is always a blast!

The Salisbury Zoo is situated in a city park. The pathways are wide and easy to stroll. The zoo is an AZA accredited facility. Whether you are looking for an activity close to your home or something different to do on vacation the zoo is a fun place to wander. It is nice if you are solo or in a... More
