Captain Ed gave us a wonderful sailing on his skipjack and explained so much: Chesapeake geography, animal life, history and about the life of a waterman. He dredged up some oysters and, before throwing them back, explained what we were seeing. There was no shade on the boat but everything about this 2 hour journey was fun.

This was a great trip, I really enjoyed my self and learned a lot. The ships Captain was great and full of knowledge. He has a gift of gab and talked a lot about the history of the area, and oyster history. yes is was history and a learning lesson, but he keep it very interesting and appealing. We even... More

My wife and I spent the afternoon in St. Michaels and are very glad we decided to book this cruise. Captain Ed was very personable and was a great "tour guide". The wind was great and we had a fantastic 2 hour sail. Not surprisingly, the old skipjack was solid as a rock on the water, cutting through the light... More

The sailing trio was excellent! The Captain gave a wonderful and interesting history of the area. The trip had gorgeous views and was gentle enough for anyone who would be seasick

Having read previous reviews about Captain Ed's encyclopedic knowledge of the area, I was looking forward to hearing his stories. However, after beginning with some great info, he gave up after most of the guests were not paying attention. I get that, since I am a retired teacher. But I did notice he was engaged in conversations with guests who... More

My husband and I were looking for a relaxing and informative sailing cruise during our anniversary visit to St. Michael's and we found it with the H.M. Krentz skipjack cruise! The Captain was knowledgeable and enjoyable. We are looking forward to a return adventure.

I recently booked this Skipjack for a trip with my grandsons while visiting St.. Michaels. What a treat for them and for me! The boys were asked to help raise the main sail and to work with the crew in bringing in oysters for the guests to see. The Captain spent time answering questions and covering the colorful life of...
