It’s not in the dictionary, but if it was, Go Ape would be described as a ‘tree top adventure’.That means we build giant obstacle courses up in the trees using ladders, walkways, bridges and tunnels made of wood, rope and super-strong wire, and top it all off with the world's best zip lines. We then equip people with harnesses, pulleys and carabiners, give them a 30 minute safety briefing and training and let them loose into the forest canopy, free to swing through the trees. Of course, instructors are always on hand, regularly patrolling the forests (not in monkey suits unfortunately!)The result is spectacular. The Go Ape experience gets the adrenalin pumping, gets people out of their comfort zones and above all (no pun intended), it’s just great fun.

Pros: Great equipment, great obstacle courses, friendly staff rounding. great location. Would come back again! Great for bonding. Was hesitant at first but when I saw a grandma and her grand kid do it, I couldn't back out. I have fear of heights and being able to finish this was great!! There's safety harnesses that are built for this. You... More

My husband and I did Going Ape today and had a blast. The instructor was very good at getting us prepared for our adventure and we took off feeling very confindent of what we had to do. The course was a lot of fun and challenging but the reward of the zip line makes it all worth it. You just... More

We had an awesome time, somewhat challenging but we are grandparents in our mid fifties and with our ten year old grandson. Be brave and try it, you won't regret it believe me, highly recommend!!

It was a hot humid day, but the trees provide shade so you don't feel over heated. If you are in relatively good shape, this activity should provide a decent workout while having fun with family or friends.

Had issues with their website for booking online so I went in person to book. It was easy getting started and they offer a good military discount. It was a great time on the course, easy and exciting to do! I'm afraid of heights and had no problem what so ever. I felt completely safe. Only cons is that they... More

I was cocky. Not entirely cocky, just mildly cocky. I felt like this activity would be a breeze. "I skipped the gym in the morning to come to the forest and climb trees?" is what initially went through my head--as if to say that the gym would have been a better workout. It was awesome, and an awesome workout. I... More

They allow way too many people. It took us 2 hours to complete the first two courses (should have taken 10 minutes altogether) as there was a long line ahead of us. It took all the fun away. At the 3rd course the backup was close to an hour. Someone was stuck in the course and was scared to proceed!... More

I went to Go Ape having gone to Sandy Spring Adventure Park. I went Father's Day weekend, Saturday for the last appointment figuring there'd be some room to maneuver around slow people. Not so much. At Sandy Spring Adventure Park (SSAP), three courses diverge from a single departure platform. You can see which of teh three courses is least crowded... More

First and foremost I have to say that our instructor Cameron was fantastic. Very hands on. Very encouraging. Very helpful. The actual zip lining was pretty easy and fun. Getting to the platforms to do the zip lining was a bit of challenge. At one point I was stuck. Cameron called up encouragement from the ground and got me through... More

From check-in, you are greeted and thanked for choosing Go Ape. Our instructor (Sean) made sure that every person in the group understood the rules , practicing safety, and more importantly how to maneuver throughout the course. This is not a quick activity, you will spend a couple hours at the least moving throughout the course. Wear appropriate clothing and... More
