What a wonderful place. My two sons and I went for the Haunted Hayride and it was so much fun. Everyone did a fantastic job. The best part was all the money goes to care for the animals.

Worth the drive
Sep 2021
Loved coming here. Unlike some bigger zoos, Plumpton Park is not very crowded and you can get up close to really see the animals. Some interesting animals and really enjoyable. It was a beautiful day. Highly recommend.

Fun kid friendly zoo

We had a wonderful time at the Plumpton Park Zoo! My son enjoyed feeding the giraffe and all of the farm animals. You can get pretty close to all of the animals and they were all very active the day we were there.

Perfect for birthday parties.
Sep 2021 • Family
We purchased the Giraffe Feeding Birthday package for family and friends. This package included a guided tour. Our tour guide Carrie, was amazing, friendly, and informative….she helped keep us on pace to get back to the pavilion for cake and presents. A supervisor, Michelle, was very personable and helpful when I called to ask her questions and logistics of the party. What a wonderful day for my 8 year old daughter….our whole group, adults and children, had a fantastic day thanks to Plumpton Park Zoo!!!

DON'T BOTHER GOING!
Jun 2021
Inadequate space for the animals. Enclosures (made from dog kennels or broken-down fences) need some TLC. English Ivy was completely taking over the Barred Owls enclosure. No enrichment for the animals or habitats that look remotely close to their natural habitat. Just some PVC pipes and plastic playground equipment. We had to watch out for Peacocks and Roosters the entire time, they were EVERYEHERE! This alone made my experience uncomfortable. Not to mention the smell was just awful! This was our 1st and last time visiting. I'm disappointed I gave my money to this awful place. It's not every day your child leaves a zoo crying because they are mortified with how, "sad the animals look" in their unkept, confined, empty, rickety enclosures.

Wonderful zoo
Jun 2021 • Family
Shade, well laid out this zoo is paradise for toddlers through tweens. Many of the animals are rescues. The area is clean and not smelly as some zoos t we bd yo be. There is a small concession stand providing usual fare — hot dogs, nachos, chicken nuggets and fries. There is a wonderful panning activity for kids of all ages. Buy a sack of mystery dirt rocks and sand in the gift shop. Kids dump it onto screens and pan for gems in the water. Our 4 and 5 year old were happy at the zoo from 11:40 until 3 with a lunch break! Check localish for coupons for discounts.
