Quiet and beautiful break from driving.

The rest stop is amazing for relaxing and having quiet time with your family. The squirrels, rabbits, and birds are a welcome sight to smile at while eating. There is a great dog park to walk your pooch and the place is landscaped to perfection. The tall pine trees give you great shade on hot summer days. They have a large map where you can see where you are located and give you a little history about the area.

Small but full of some great information

This small visitor center tells a substantial amount of what Somerset county offers. They have a paper map of the county for sale, and information about the "Trail Mix" that has kayak trails, hiking trails and biking trails. This is a comfortable place to stop for a picnic lunch.

Nice Little Visitors Center
Mar 2017 • Couples
The Somerset County Visitors Center is located on Route 13 just west of the Princess Anne town center. This is a nice rest stop in a grove of pine trees with picnic tables, grills and quirky rest rooms. Inside the small center we spoke with a very friendly informative woman that gave us a nice overview of Princess Anne and the surrounding areas we were to visit over the weekend. Plenty of brochures, maps and an outdoor exhibit make this center top notch for it's size. Since this is a north south thoroughfare there was information covering all of Maryland as well as Norfolk and the Outer Banks for travelers heading south thru the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel.
