About
Jaderpark - the zoo and leisure park directly on the North Sea! The park offers a special kind of recreational enjoyment in a themed climbing and water world, the "Grizzly Adventure". Behind it is the gigantic climbing facility Grizzly Mountain and the large water playgrounds Grizzly Bay, the experience to get wet and Yellowstone Water Company, the fun at the geyser. This year (2020) you can experience a new family free-fall tower depicted as a giant maypole and the funny pig rondel for the youngest. In addition, enjoyable and impressive experiences await through a combination of zoo and leisure park. The zoo is home to over 600 exotic animals. Lots of fun for big and small guests is guaranteed in the amusement park with its many carousels and sports equipment. The whole package is available at moderate prices, because all attractions are included in the entrance fee.

Great day with the Grand kids
Aug 2019
Although not a huge park, there is more then enough for a day's outing. 18.50 adult, 14 senior and 16.50 child. The price includes all rides and the newer Yellowstone waterpark. The walk thru zoo was cute and the grandkids had a fine time with the Penguins and Lions. Lines were not overwhelming even for the more popular rides, Food was limited and not inexpensive, however a lot of families were there with picnic lunches. This would be a better way to go. Fun times and wotrh the trip.

Nice day trip with the kids

Great place for a day trip with the kids. Nice play grounds and attractions as well as a little Zoo with interesting animals for the kids. The price is quite high and there are no family tickets but overall it is nice.

Old school zoo meets old school amusement park and create a fun mix
May 2018 • Family
We brought our 28 month old daughter here and it was probably the happiest day of her life. Our friends in Bremen suggested it and it was a great call. The little one LOVED the penguins and the monkeys. I thought the lions and panther were cool. And the petting zoo was a great hit, even though the llamas didn't want to stand still and the goats acted like piggies...

But what's nice is that there are lots of OTHER things to do beside feed your inner zoologist; there are lots of little "playgrounds" for the kids to burn off energy (and give parents a chance to sit down). And then there are the rides, both for little munchkins and for larger children as well.

No, this ain't Disneyland or Six Flags, but it also doesn't have that price tag or those lines. The water ride is nice, but if you're looking for a hard-core loop-the-loop, this ain't for you. If you've got a couple of kids from 2 to 10 that you wanna have fun WITH, however, this is probably a better idea. There aren't the crazy crowds (see my review of Xcaret in Mexico) and the whole vibe is chill and relaxing. Even the cost of food and drinks seems pretty nice by American standards.

Even in winter: thumbs up

Friendly people here, some animals are still outside and the children’s play barn is open. You can get any kind of coffee specialty and artisan apple cake. Thanks.

Nice idea but no love and a lot of dirt
Jul 2016
The park is located close to Oldenburg and close to the North Sea coast.
A nice day trip with the kids, awesome! But sadly is the park, especially the cages and fields for he animals, very dirty.
The water of almost every water animal area was really dirty and didn't look to comfortable for the animal.
The park was crowded, which was due to the holiday season. But still it didn't just look like the waste of the visitors of that day, more likely that it wasn't really taken care of. Which is super bad if you see the price of 17,50€ per adult.

Brilliant day out for everyone

We came to visit Sunday 16th August and it was brilliant. The staff/keepers were really nice and the animals and rides were fab too! Would definitely come and visit again when when we return to Germany. Didn't matter that the weather was slightly rainy either. Great park with loads of fun to be had.

A great mix of fun and conservation!

This is a beautiful park which covers a much larger area than you first think when you approach it. The entrance area has a very "old school" zoo feel which gives it some character, but as you enter through the gates you can see that in fact it is a park which is evolving. There is a great collection of animals and they are all kept in enclosures which are more than adequate. Some of the larger animals such as the Giraffe have access to very great open plan enclosures.

There is a lot to see and you need to go around it a couple of times to make sure you don't miss anything... The pygmy hippo for example has an indoor and outdoor enclosure, and this (along with some of the other indoor areas) can be a little easy to miss.... However the pygmy hippo is adorable and has a really cute enclosure so is worth seeking out!

I do not have kids, but one thing I noticed while walking around the park is that there is no end of things for children to do! There are rides, a train, slides, huge inflated cushions, peddle boats and much more... One thing I really thought was a great idea was the minature ferris wheel which requires parents to sit on a tandem and peddle their kids around. With the majority of these at least it looked like there were any extra fees for these activities.

I did not try the food as we were in a bit of a hurry but it looked like it had a really big clean restaurant.

Animals, funfair rides and softplay - great family day out.
Jul 2013
Tierpark Jaderberg is a short drive north of Oldenburg in the direction of Willhelmshaven. It has a moderately diverse collection of animals mostly kept in reasonably sized enclosures, with the highlights being giraffes, lions and some small apes.
Alongside the animals are a collection of attractions for children, with a train which goes round the animal park, a boat ride past some rather bizarre statues suggesting a rather idealised relationship between primitive humans and wild animals, various playparks, and a collection of funfair/theme park type rides (mini rollercoaster and log flume were my kids favourites).
There is also a large soft play area inside.
Given that there are no additional fees once inside this lot comes as a great value package and will easily consume a whole day. We were there during local school holidays and although busy it never felt crowded and the longest we waited for any ride was approx. 10 minutes.
