The oldest running ferry in the country goes across the river and saves about 30 minutes of driving to St. Michaels. It's a fun little trip, less than $15 for two people and their car. Just a couple of bucks for passengers only.

Several times a year we take house guests for a ride on this ferry. It is a great round trip. Oxford and St. Michaels both have 17th and 18th century history. Both have direct connections to the Revolutionary War. Once you've been here you'll come...More

Although I wouldn't make a habit of using this for everyday transportation, the ride is pleasant, and the end result really does cut off a piece of driving. This family owned operation is a nice escape on a nice day too.

We liked everything about the ferry. Bring your camera! Maybe the ride was too short? :)

We enjoyed a 10 minute solo ride as we departed Oxford on this cute little ferry that holds a mere 9 cars. The staff was delightful, even in the rain. We could have had fun riding this back and forth on a hot sunny day....More

Not much on the Bellevue side but beautiful scenery, a nice shortcut to St Michaels which is not far from the ferry landing.
