My husband & I talked weeks before about something new to do on vacation in OCMD & when he suggested fishing I was super excited! We called the day before & made reservations, we didn't need a credit card to guarantee our time which was good since I called when I was sitting on the beach. Since our day was after Labor Day our trip was 3 hours instead of 2 hours which is the in season trip time. We had a full boat which Inqas worried about from reading other reviews stating that peoples lines tangled but it was ok. There was a few times my line got tangled with my husband's line & the lady next to me but once everyone got the hang of it the issue of lines tangling didn't happen that much. My husband caught a black bass first which was neat. His second catch was a flouder! I on the other hand caught a crab 🙄. Then I caught another crab then caught a third crab 🙄. My husband told me if he got another bite on his line then he would let me bring it in. Sure ending he got another bite & let me reel it in. It was a sea robin & he was cute! My husband took him off the line & he was very softly croaking! The guys on the boat were great & very helpful baiting your hook as well as getting people untangled. They moved the boat to different spots which was good. There was a little girl maybe about 7 or 8 years old on our boat & she was the rockstar of the trip because almost every time she dropped her line she caught something! 🤣 Overall it was a fun experience & something we'll definitely do again. The cost of it was $50 which is a tad pricey but the experience was definitely worth the price.

I go on a lot of fishing boats but have never been to one in the Ocean City MD area. There were others to choose from but I liked that they had a 2 hour trip that started at 0900 instead of earlier. I bought my ticket online. On the day of, a parking attendant will show you to a parking spot. The parking in the area is very tight so allow them to get you in one of their lots. Once on the boat, the captain and the mate got us situated and did a short talk about the equipment. Between the equipment and the experience of the crew, they made this a very easy way to get someone with no fishing experience on the water and able to fish. We went to an area very close to the marina. It is a common spot for fishing. If you go when there is a tide, the fishing is excellent. No one caught any large fish but just about everyone on the boat had caught a fish. The goal was not to catch the largest fish but to keep your lines tight and catch fish. We all did very good on that day. The true excitement happened when we were getting ready to head back to the dock. There was a problem with the engine. The captain and mate did everything they could but weren't able to keep the engine running. We had to be pushed back to the dock by one of the marina boats. Despite the engine problem, the captain and the mate maintained their professionalism and made everyone comfortable. It only made us late by about 10 minutes. I understand engine problems happen and I don't fault the captain and the company at all. But I will say that they kept a good attitude during this. And they put us on fish! If the engine would have not busted a hose, I would have given them a 5/5. Highly suggested for the first timer or someone looking for a nice, quick fishing trip.

The two hours we spent flounder fishing were worth the $25 fee. The crew was great! The captain and first mate, Jeffrey were super attentive and personable. The only negative was that the amount of people they cram onto the boat makes it almost impossible to not get your line tangled with others on a regular basis. That part got a little frustrating. We had nice people next to us, which made it a bit more bearable! A few less people per side (we had 26 people, elbow to elbow on the boat) could take care of that and the Happy Hooker will still make tons of money! 😉

The Trip was what I expected. Short 2 hour trip was just enough for me. The crew was great. Everyone caught some small fish and had fun. Only one person caught one big enough to keep.
