We took a last minute trip to Ocean City with (2) 15-year olds and (2) 12-year olds. We did not plan on spending much time at the boardwalk, but ended up going every single day. The kids enjoyed the arcades and environment. When we went during the day, it was not overly crowded. Plenty of space for everyone. But when we went back at night, its definitely a lot more crowded, but not horrible. Parking is super easy and convenient. It is $3.50 an hour (I believe the first 30 minutes are free), but I think its worth it for the convenience of not having to find street parking somewhere. We had a good time and are glad we decided to go.

A great boardwalk but a very busy one in the summer months. Stores and concession stands line the boardwalk, offering lots of options. Be sure to check out Fisher's popcorn in Thrasher's french fries, both Ocean City traditions. The Kite Loft is also a popular place. there is also sand sculptures in the summertime display in Jesus and other religious figures that are worth checking out. Street performers perform in the summer months. There's a pier beoynd the rides that provides a place to fish and view the ocean. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is the amusement parks, they're to expensive and the rides aren't that great.

Been her many, many times over the years. There is something for everyone on this boardwalk from shops to arcades to food to entertainment to restaurants/bars and Ripley's and the Pier with rides and games. Oh and lets not forget the ocean and beach of course. Lots and lots to see and do.

The boardwalk goes on and on so be prepared to walk awhile or you can catch a tram for a small fee. If you get tired there are benches all along the boardwalk to sit and just people watch. And if you are an early riser you can always rent a 4 seater bike and ride up and down the boardwalk first thing in the morning which is a pleasant way to start the day.

Love this place and can't wait to go back. Highly recommended, but understand it can be a little pricey to stay and a little crowded especially on the holidays.

I’m not sure if anyone giving this Boardwalk a great review has ever been to a New Jersey Boardwalk because if they had I doubt they’d be raving about how great Ocean City’s is. Is there a lot of shops? Yes, but not really. You see there’s really only a handful of different shops they just keep repeating themselves all the way down the Boardwalk. It’s pretty dirty so it doesn’t seem like the shopkeepers or the town itself cares too much about keeping it clean. There’s signs all over about how face coverings due to COVID are required but I would say 80% of the people aren’t even wearing them and no one is enforcing it either. The amusement parks which are run by Jolly Roger and Trimpers are about as elaborate as what you’d find at a county fair but twice as expensive so nothing to really get that excited over. I’m writing my review from the standpoint of having experienced an incredible Boardwalk in places like Wildwood, New Jersey. But even if I didn’t know the difference between a great Boardwalk and a sub par one I don’t think I’d be too impressed by this one.

The Boardwalk you will get run over by bikes and the tramcar. The only good thing was seeing the OC life saving museum and the artifacts outside. The Boardwalk is crowded with a lot of rude people. Visited with family with little children. The inlet parking is a pain. They want you to pay by smartphone and the Park Mobile App doesn’t work, Texting doesn’t work either and the website doesn’t work. Spent 30 mins playing with the smartphone trying to get this work and it didn’t. Time starts as soon as you enter inlet parking. Pay by plate. So of course, I was 30 minutes behind the eight ball. I put 3 hrs of time and was granted only 2.5 hrs after finally having to put a credit card into the machine for it to take. So it limited money to give to vendors on the Boardwalk. The rides were not open. Dinosaur bones in the sand for the little children.

We visited a Monday through Friday in early October. Being off-season I expected some things closed, but it was more than expected. We only found four restaurants open (as well as NONE of the stands on the boardwalk itself minus dip n dots and the popcorn place) as we walked it Tuesday early evening. Only a couple restaurants opened the whole week, but a couple of the food stands were open Wednesday and Thursday. Just disappointing how much was closed. Not like it was the dead of winter.

Also just felt the boardwalk had a run down feel to it. Not the boardwalk itself. It was kept up with well it seemed. The benches were all in good shape as well as the boards, it was clean, and they were doing some painting. It was the buildings (mostly motels/rentals) and shops and such along it that just made the boardwalk feel dumpy and depressing.

We did like the couple snacks we had when we came across some places open. The fries at thrashers were good. Had some fried Oreos at pollock Johnny’s which were great. Ice cream for kohrs was good also.

We loved that they had plenty of benches with some facing the beach and some facing the boardwalk. That was our favorite part. We could sit and watch the ocean/beach without getting sandy. But we could also turn around and people watch for a different view.

All in all it was not our favorite place (would rather Atlantic City or Virginia Beach boardwalk), but we still enjoyed our time.

Went here three nights of our stay. Not the old boardwalk it was. Too many young people playing wireless speakers real loud. A lot of dirty people milling around. Most of the shops are overpriced junk you can get at a Sunsations. Wait for COVID-19 to end and maybe it will return to its former glory.

We visited the boardwalk and were shocked to see that almost 90% of people did not have masks on on a very crowded day. Mind you this was in early May 2021 when we were not yet vaccinated. The place unfortunately felt tacky and trashy, and there were a few drunkards loitering around. The food was good though - we had Thrashers fries and Kohr Brothers ice cream and both were tasty. Unfortunately it was not a pleasant walk at all and we left shortly. You’d find a much better scene at the northern parts of Ocean City or in nearby Bethany, away from the loud crowds.

There’s a lot going on on the boardwalk. My favorite time of day it was early in the morning where we picked up the start of the boardwalk near our hotel, the Hilton, and walked the 2.5 approximate miles to the very far end and back again. Crowds were minimal as things were not really open yet. Going out on the boardwalk in the afternoon and evening is a completely different experience. There’s so much going on between restaurants and shopping that it is an easy place to pass a few hours. And since it’s right on the beach, you have great access during the day if you choose to hang out on the beach.

There is something to do here for everyone, beaches, rides, games, Ripley's Believe it or Not Museum, a tram ride, food, fudge, arcades and more. The tram is $4 each way, they do NOT give you change. I ended up paying $10 but found out after the fact that I could have paid by card. I ended up taking it to see all of the sights on the Boardwalk....it took an hour and a half one way and an hour coming back. There is no option to hop on and back off again which would be well worth the price if they did. It was interesting to see the hotels from 100 years ago converted to rentals today. I grew up going to the Jersey Shore and Boardwalks so there was not much different here for me, but I still had a nice time. There is plenty of parking but you have to pay of course. The Boardwalk is located on the southern end of the strip. My hotel was 6 miles away which was perfect for me because my beach area was less crowded and so were the streets. TIP: There are amazing sunset views with seating at the southern end of the Boardwalk.
