If you’re looking for a wonderful happy hour in Ocean City I would not recommend the angler. My visit was June 2021. I would have to say the prices are deceiving. I have attached photos of some of the “deals”. Oysters are $1.25 each during happy hour (TINY!) and come in an order of 6, wings are a dollar each and they come no less than seven per order. So $7 for seven wings. Is not exactly a deal. Their specialty is grouper fingers- on the happy hour menu for $7 but beware Portions are small.. High tide time, happy hour special beverages are two for the price of one. What they don’t tell you is that the price of a crush is really $12. So when you pay for two you’re paying $12 for two and the original price is already outrageous and the cups are the same size as any other bar I’ve been so it’s not like you’re getting anything special when you can go elsewhere and get a crush for six dollars. And looking at the menu at the bar the crush price was nowhere to be found until you get the bill. Upon exiting miraculously a drink menu which was located elsewhere had the original price and had I known this upfront I never would’ve bothered getting the crush. The receipt in the end said crush $6, crush $6. They need to have the prices on the happy hour menu for the happy hour price. Then you know what you’re getting upfront.. We left there hungry wanting more. And to have to pay for two portions of some thing which would be the regular price just to fill your appetite? On another note something that is not included in the happy hour menu price is there horseradish crab dip. This is on the regular menu and it is a very tiny portion for $15!. The best deal on the menu is $2 all day for natural light. If that is what you are into this is the place for you.

Awful customer service just awful. Waited for over 30 min for a table when there were over 20 available. Told there were not enough servers yet we could see 5 or 6 standing around inside doing nothing. The Hostess could care less as well. Food is overpriced and you’re given tiny portions. One small crab cake, scoop of white rice, and 5 asparagus spears was $31. Needless to say we won’t be back.

The food and service was just average. Waitress was nice but took forever to greet us, and eventually bring our bar drinks.
Our bar drinks, salad, and entrees all came out within 3 minutes of each other.
The $5 add on boat ride is 100% worth it, but don’t be fooled, you end up paying for it. I got a crab cake entree listed at market price.. $31 later I was still hungry and extremely disappointed.
Do yourself a favor and find a menu item that gets you to the minimum dollar requirement for the boat ride.

Had a good cheesesteak sandwich and onion rings at the Angler. Nice location on the water. You can dine inside, outside, or at the bar. Live music available at the bar too. You can also purchase a ticket for a boat cruise for $5 if you spend at least $12 for your meal, which you will. Best to make reservations ahead if you want to do the boat cruise as it does fill up. Boat cruise was a nice option and very enjoyable. I would recommend the food and the cruise if you are looking for a nice evening in OC. Good for families too.

We discovered this gem of a restaurant during our fourth of July weekend from a local. The menu and quality of food was terrific! We had a toddler and a teen and they both ate their meals and raved about it (image that!). The crab cake is authentic with no fillers and it was so delicious we returned TWICE on the same trip. The burger was cooked to perfection and the cocktails superb.
About the service: DYNAMIC & EXCELLENT! The waitress, Hayley, was training someone and they both were friendly and checked in on us often. The manager (a woman) was super friendly, checked on the meal and experience. We sat outside, we were not rushed and its the perfect place on the bay.
We will return every time we come to Ocean City. This is a gem NOT to be missed.

So happy this place loves dogs! It’s dog friendly and dogs get their very own menu and bowl of cold water. My little pug ordered the chicken, btw. The pineapple smash (drink) was great! We enjoyed the clam chowder, crab dip, caesar salad with shrimp, avocado shrimp salad, kids cheese burger, and dessert. We four we’re all content and satisfied with the food, service and view. The host and waitress were so friendly, warm and professional! We will be back next summer when in the area.

A nice sunset location on the bay in the inlet. The server, Taylor, was very attentive and efficient but also very busy. We ordered the fried flounder sandwich which comes on an over sized roll that is really too big to eat. The fish was just okay. My wife ordered a crab cake with fries. She sent the crab cake back since it was served cold. The french fries are overrated. Don't think we will return. We walked here from the new Cambria Hotel one block away.

The food clearly comes from sysco. There is no seasoning and the food is very bland. My waiter said he was the sons owner and that he worked there since he was 10. It took him 25 minutes to even greet the table. For someone who has been working in the establishment for 10 plus years you would think he would be more prepared. Needless to say service never improved. The food was very bland no seasoning and it looked as it was just slapped together. I spoke with the owner Janie who seemed to be very unconcerned about the service provided. I also noticed there was no people of color like my self employed at the establishment. Everyone seemed to be un organized and all over the place. I sat back and watched the female manager who later introduced her self as Gabby pay more attention to her celluar device than her crew and team mates. I don't recommend spending your hard earned money at The Angler. There is a M.R. DUCKs and another establishment called the marina I highly suggest going there instead.

We took the charter with The Angler and then brought our fresh catch back to the restaurant to be prepared. There is nothing like fresh fish; only a couple hours from the hook to the plate!
Timing is a factor here: they don’t have the sides available until dinner time (after 4 pm), but we ordered salads to go with the sea bass and enjoyed it very much. There was an added bonus of a frozen creamsicle drink.
Great location and we enjoyed the outside dining under the patio.

They do take reservations for dinner, I do know that. I agree the location is absolutely prime - and if you are staying at Belmont Towers you can walk there. They need to tighten things up there and refine the quality. Too much competition in a condensed area so they are really losing their market share. I would go back if I knew they switched chef's or did something to improve it, but probably just for lunch since that's not as $$$
