My family & I have been going to Frontier Town for over 10 years & have really enjoyed going there. We always book a year in advance because there's a special cabin we like to call our home. Unfortunately when I went to book for next year (2024) the prices have doubled so I'm afraid this may be our last year. We were going to try to find another campsite nearby in the Delmarva area but Sun Outdoors owns them all now so all the prices have doubled. I guess campsite vacations are only for the rich now. So sad!!!

On our last trip here , they have really cracked down on golfcart speeding and underage drivers. Also no loud noise at night. waterpark and pool very nice. Stll a little pricey, but if you stay at the campground and do all their stuff here you can get your monies worth. we had a great time

Facilities/grounds are very nice.
Changes since new ownership have made the experience a bit more troublesome. They no longer require car tags to identify cars entering the grounds. We were awakened at 1100 one night by a pizza delivery person looking for the person who ordered.
Kids driving golf carts. Gas powered carts. Heck, regular carts with lights that blind you. Carts blasting music till 8pm.
Hard place to relax right now.

We rented two cabins for the final Halloween weekend 10/27-10/30/22. We chose the newer section of the campground just passed the office. We stayed in cabins HH08 and HH09, and booked both cabins a year out. The checkin process was very easy, but we realized the price changed on on cabin (increased) after we added a golf cart several months after the initial reservation. Luckily we caught the error and received a $235 credit. We were told that prices increased in time and changing the reservation also changed the cabin pricing.
Cabin HH08 was descent except for the very uncomfortable mattress in the main bedroom. Also be advised that the bed in the main bedroom are too large for the room and difficult to get into due to the narrow space on each side of the bed.
Cabin HH09 has issues... when we arrived we noticed two window hvac units on this cabin. Also we noticed inside a portable space heater next to the dining table. As the evening progressed the outside temp dropped to nearly 45 degrees and we couldn’t get the two wall heating units to operate. Having a special needs daughter we were concerned about this and called the emergency number listed on the information sheet. One of the maintenance men showed within 10 minutes and tried to get the units to work. We pointed out the portable heater next to the table and he commented that someone must have left it. He tried to get the units to work, then stepped outside to make a call. When he returned, he advised that “this was the cabin that they were having problems with and there was no power to the heating units”. He said that housekeeping would bring by a couple space heaters. The heaters were supplied and plugged in, but a few minutes later, they tripped the breaker and maintenance had to be called again. Finally after moving heaters around we were able to get our daughter down to sleep.
Lastly, the internet was down all weekend and after visiting the offer we were told that it was being worked on. Even during the “candy bar bingo” the staff joked on the microphone that they didn’t need to hear about the internet, they knew it had problems.
Overalls, we understand things happen, but paying nearly $1,300 for three nights in a campground in a “newer” cabin you would expect it to be much nicer.
I commend the emergency maintenance staff for trying to solve an issue that was obviously known by management t be an issue. But criticize management for not making guests aware of these issues in advance, or at least having everything in place regarding the heating issue. FYI, we never saw anyone working on the internet issue and had to rely on personal hotspots to get work accomplished over the weekend.

If you like spending a week in a Nascar infield, this is the place for you. Cars, RVs and golf carts going on all day & most evenings.. We stayed in a cabin that was less comfortable than an Army barrack. The kitchen was a 2X4 with no oven, just a dingy toaster oven and that for 3 adults & 5 children. We weren't allowed food or drinks by the pool and the food prices were outrageous, so with 8 people, you can just imagine!!! The only nice things were the pools and the staff was very nice but other than that, go to Yogi Bear, Jellystone Park...WAY BETTER

Wow my wife and I have been doing Ocean City bike for the last 14 years, we didn't get to go last year due to Covid so we rolled it over to this year. Wow what a shock we got when we called to set it up. The prices have gotten totally out of hand for just 3 nights they want over $700.00 to stay. I went on their rates online but they don't show 2021 instead they show 2020 rates which are reasonable per night. You can stay at a 5star motel on the boardwalk cheaper than you can at Frontier town and the rest of the camp grounds that the new owners have bought. You can go to other camp grounds in MD, PA VA, NY and De for a quarter of the price they are asking.

While we made our own fun as a family, the experience at Frontier Town was incredibly disappointing, especially considering the high price. Be aware there is NO RECYCLING, which is mind-blowing considering recycling is table stakes in 2021, and campsites generate an excess of bottles, cans, etc that can easily be recycled....yet all end up in their overflowing dumpsters headed to landfills. As others have already stated, we were repeatedly told there were no golf carts available, even though there were 15-20 unused golf carts parked in their lot the entire time. No one (staff included) wore masks inside the registration office, camp store, restaurants or crowded shuttle buses, despite posted signage. Overall the lack of attention and state of the facilities were pretty shocking. Given the price, we had expected an upgrade from our typical camping/RV experience. That was not the case. It was our first time visiting, and will be our last.

We have been going to Frontier Town twice a summer for a number of years. Recently, the ownership changed and our last visit was not one of our best. Typically, the Internet has been a little unreliable. However, this year it was terrible!!!! In a time when folks need to have access to the Internet for schooling and work, it was very disappointing to not have consistent access and the speed when we could connect was dreadful.
Another concern is the recent site expansion. A significant number of new sites have been opened for camping but none of the group accommodations have been expanded. The onsite restaurant, pool, water park, bar have not been expanded at all. In past years, the demand on these facilities has been significant. Now, with the expanded campsites, it is reasonable to expect the use of these facilities will be very limited.
The price charged for camping at Frontier Town is significant. For that level of expense, facilities should be at a level to justify the significant cost. We love the location and general layout of this campground but suggest the new owners consider some much needed expansion and improved services.

We've been lucky enough to get the same two sites for years for a Halloween stay. My wife and I traditionally paid for our son and daughter -in-law's site next to us as their birthday gift.
When I went to pay ahead for the Pony Express check in we found out that since Sun Communities took over they DOUBLED the rates. One year and they DOUBLED the rates. Last year it was around $450 and this year, even with a military discount it was $875.
Absolutely no excuse to increase rates that much so quickly. We'll miss the many fine employees we've met and many of the same campers who we've seen over the years.
Won't ever be back.

I used come here as a kid and I started bringing my kids here about 5 years ago. It used to be great but it has gone downhill. They don't do the train or stagecoach rides and the shows are not nearly as good. It's free admission now but no longer worth the price.
I feel like it was just an excuse to get my kids to an overpriced souvenir shop and eat overpriced burgers and hotdogs.
