Nice museum

Worth the stop to see about not only the life saving station but also the local history. Very well kept and a good place to slow down and enjoy.

We went on a Tuesday in October during the off season and had the museum to ourselves most of the time. The price is right - $6 for the two of us and the staff was very friendly. Museum has a children section but most exhibits could be boring for them.

We went to the museum to meet the lifeguards and learn about beach safety (there is regular mid-morning programming during the summer, schedule available on their website). Following the presentation on the boardwalk outside of the museum we headed in. There was a scavenger hunt for kids to do and at the end they received a shark's tooth for having... More

This is a fantastic place to learn about the history of Ocean City from old-time amusement rides and bathing costumes to shipwrecks and tales of the heroic staff of the US Life-Saving Service and their rescue missions.

Wonderful museum, great way to spend a rainy day or not so rainy!! So interesting items and history in one small package. The gift shop alone is worth the stop in (no charge to visit gift shop) but you really can't beat the value for the admission price. Amazing to see how rescues were done, how brave the men had... Doesn't take very long to go through. Displays and pics throughout. Good for kids to see and not there too long for their attention span.

This museum looks small on the outside but full of exhibits and entertaining history of lifesaving at Ocean City. The exhibits and pictures are fascinating and informative. It's a bargain. I visit here whenever I get to Maryland's Ocean City.

Have been coming to OC for 30 years and have never entered this place. We decided to check it out this year and wow I could have staying in here for a long time just reading all about the history of OC and viewing the old pictures of the town

This was a lot of fun and very educational about Oceancity. You will be shocked of all the fun exhibits they have in such a small building. It is very inexpensive too. Great for kids!
