We hiked down to two of the falls and got into the water at Swallow Falls. The rocks are very slippery but it's fun and you can actually get under the falls.

This was such a beautiful hike and swim! There were four waterfalls along the way, with well defined trails and plenty of space to stop and enjoy the scenery! It's pretty much a large loop, but if you take the trail to the left (from...More

The view is astounding! A very easy hike, and this is a location that I look forward to visiting when I am in Western Maryland. So peaceful and quiet here!

This hike was great. It doesn't have a lot of elevation changes which is good for smaller children or people who don't do a lot of hiking. The trail is along the water so you have a lot of nice views and are able to...More

I'm so glad the park allows swimming in the falls! We had a great time floating down the creek, sunning on the rocks and jumping off the cliffs into the creek. This is definitely the highlight of the park. The hiking trails are very accessible...More

This was a great family hike. You get 4 waterfalls in a 1.25 mile walk. This hike is rocky at points but otherwise mild. So, no strollers but manageable with small kids. The waterfalls are amazing. This is a must visit.

Beautiful hemlock forest. Follow the trail along the creek from Swallow Falls to Muddy Creek. It is rugged but incredible rock formations make it worth it.

My wife and I were in the area looking at some real estate and decided to take in Swallow Falls State Park. The day was sunny and beautiful. This is a do not miss place.

I believe with a disabled permit you can drive closer down. however there would still be a short walk. it's not Niagra Falls but is kinda cool to see.
