Enjoyed the beach area although it was rather crowded. Rentals of kayaks and paddle boards a plus but they gotta do something about the walk into, the water. Sharp stones and rocks make it almost impossible to access.

We went there specifically for swimming but was extremely disappointed. A small area was roped off for swimming so of course it was over crowded. You would ASSUME with the lake being so LARGE that there would be a large area for swimming.

Has a great discovery center which our two year old grandson loved. There is a sandy beach as well and some nice hiking trails.

I wanted to go to a place for a nice hike with my lab. The trails maps were all wet and stuck together at the trail head but I was able to find one that was not. The colored trails were well marked and easy to follow. I can't say the scenery on the blue or white trail was spectacular... More

My husband and I were debating between a beach and a lake front getaway this summer and ended up at Deep Creek Lake, MD. The state park was a lovely compromise between the 2. There were clean changing rooms and lots of park/lake front space. There were 2 small beaches to hang out and swim which, while great for small... More

We took our grandchildren here for a butterfly program at the Discovery Center put on by a naturalist which was very good. The young lady who conducted the program was very knowledgable and really engaged the kids. Inside the building there are some nature displays, fish tanks and some terrariums.

Just 4 days at Deep Creek Lake and went to the park everyday. The park a nice beach area that my grandkids really enjoyed. My son and I fished and that was nice too. A beautiful setting with lake right. A must place to go too if you are in the area!

Lovely park for a hike! Although I did not go to the beach I'm sure it is beautiful and we'll kept. I took my nieces (8 and 7) to the discovery center too and they enjoyed themselves very much. The aviary was very cool as well. Absolutely Beautiful!

We were staying at a Deep Creek lake front house for a week and visited DCSP first to launch our boat. The boat launch here is very nice with the ability to launch four at one time and plenty of dock space. Later in the week we visited with my daughter and her family to do the Maryland Park Quest....
