Had the best time! Coastrider Surf School staff were so welcoming, and provided excellent verbal and hands on instruction. It was my first ever time surfing and I made it to my feet a couple of times. Everything was provided, just needed bathers and a towel. Cannot wait to go again. Highly recommend.

For Christmas, my parents bought me 3 surfing lesson tickets with Coastrider surf in a group of other kids and teenagers. The coaches were friendly, patient and super helpful and knowledgable, and you find yourself making so much progress within hours! You are split into smallish groups, and the coaches go between each person throughout the time you are in the water, so you get individual guidance and instructions. Loved every minute of it, and would 100% recommend!

Jono was a perfect coach! He was very clear with instructions, helpful, approachable and encouraging. We had the best time ever and want to now continue to surf whenever we can.. Thank you for a brill experience and I will encourage others to have lessons here with Jono at coast rider😊

Coastrider Surf Academy Tas are a fantastic outfit that deliver a professional and fun experience for the whole family. If you ever wanted to try surfing but felt a little apprehensive, as I was, then reach out to Jono and the team for a really outstanding day that will leave you smiling and wanting to try it again.
My son (7) and I (old …) both joined classes this summer and it was an absolute blast with a great team of instructors to help you catch your first waves. We will definitely go again and highly recommend Coastrider Surf Academy for their very friendly, supportive and professional service.

My 10 year old and his friends had a surf lesson with Coastrider Surf Academy and had the best time! The guys provided a safe, supportive, and fun environment for the kids. The relxed nature of the lesson allowed for loads of laughing and plently of wave riding. Cannot reccomend these guys enough, will absolutely book more lessons knowing my kids are in the safest hands. Thanks guys!

I did a private lesson in Clifton beach and a whole day private surf trip to the eas cost with surf academy. Definitely my best experience in Tasmania. Very experienced and professional surf teachers! Keep on frothing!!

I had the best time with Jono for a 1:1 surf lesson. I had never surfed before and he got me standing up within no time! He took his time to teach the basics and build my confidence up in the water and on the board. Highly recommend for people new to surfing!!

My 11 year old daughter celebrated her Birthday with 7 friends at a Coast Rider Surf Party. They had an absolutely amazing time. Lovely instructors, each child got one on one coaching time. Wetsuits and boards provided if needed. We will be back for some more lessons soon. Highly recommend.

We had a 10th birthday party for our daughter. This is our third party with Jono.
His staff were amazing - kind and considerate. They were knowledgeable.
Their patience was wondering given the appalling weather.
We cannot recommend Jono and his team high enough

I purchased the group lessons from Coastrider. All of the coaches were amazing, friendly, patient and gave great advice. I never thought I would be able to stand up on a surfboard but I can now. If they can teach a 50+ year old how to surf they can teach anyone. Highly recommended !
