During the COVID restrictions, winery guests were only allowed outside - no winery tours to see how they make wine and no indoor wine tastings. Linganore did have a limited number of slots for remote wine tastings on their patio, but all slots were taken when I checked 4 days prior to planned visit. Three stars due to the necessary restrictions making some activities unavailable. That being said, their extensive lawn adjacent to the winery and brewery buildings provided a generous space for social distancing while sharing a couple bottles of wine with friends. The winery provided scattered picnic tables and musicians. Area had shaded areas but a lot of people (guessing they’re regulars) brought pop up canopies and additional tables. Unfortunately there were several large groups of more than 10 not adhering to the winery’s rules and the state laws regarding groups and social distancing. Despite the disregard of posted rules, the lawn was spacious enough to avoid others, the wine decent if not exceptional and the days a pleasant outing. Beautiful vineyards, well maintained grounds, a fenced dog park, nice background music....and good weather! What’s not to like? We brought our own charcuterie and cheese, but Linganore also had a small selection of cheese for sale in the wine sales room (an unusual Chesapeake cheese that went well with our wines) and there was a good truck in the parking lot that had a constant line of customers (sold out sign as we left). Very nice day indeed. Will definitely come back for a proper wine tasting and tour when things return to normal, which should result in a higher rating.

Long time wine club member. They cancelled a wine festival stated a full refund would be provided but was not. Poor customer service let me end my wine club membership over a few dollars. Rob G

We stopped by on a recent Sunday. Even though they had the wine club and a 13 person event, Dan still took us on a great 20 minute tour. We then did the blended tasting with Brad who was very knowledgeable. One of the owners (Allen) even happened to stop by and was very engaging and gave us some of his personal recommendations on how to pair the wine. We ended up with 6 bottles, so we definitely enjoyed it. There was also a good food truck on site and the brewery is a nice side benefit (but we preferred the wines). Would definitely recommend a visit if you’re looking for a good excursion or trying to decide between a few. There were a couple of people with kids, but we left ours at home because there isn’t a lot of room inside and it was a bit chilly out.

Wine is good, customer service is abysmal. After a death in the family we were not able to go to a craft night event, and told them so before hand. Their response was "all sales are final". A decent company would have at least offered to change our tickets to a different event. Hope they enjoyed their death money though because they'll never get another cent from us. PLENTY of other wineries and mead makers in the area now to go to.
