A really wonderful collection of gardens. So much to see. The vistas are stunning. We were there for 3 hours and I think we saw the whole grounds. Right now their cafe is not open so either bring food or order a take away lunch from a catering service on Ladew’s site the morning before you visit.

Very dynamic garden, nice mix to be able to see manicured and wild at the same time... Good color foilage in October. Nice touch of adding pumpkins around. But... Staff Sucks. Very poor customer service. Limited hours of operation, and they wanted people gone early, yet want the full $15 entry price. It was very rude, and despite the beautiful gardens, makes me overall not recommend total value. If you can't enjoy the gardens because of the rude staff literally following people around, then I guess they don't want visitors.

I love touring gardens. Some are very large and formal. Ladew has some formal aspects to it, but it's also very intimate. I really enjoyed my time there. It's a place where you can take your time and enjoy at your own pace. Parking is easy, and the cafe is very nice. It's a place enjoyable spring, summer and fall.

This is a place we thought about and finally after several years got to it. Wow, so many missed opportunities! Wonderfully expansive place. Just walking around it took us 4 hrs. Despite all the building being closed thanks to covid, these folks could provide for lunch - and it was delicious! Parking is plentiful and the gardens are really beautiful. I regained 10 years of my life in a few hours here. A must see.

On the whole, it is an impressive collection of a variety of types of gardens. A touch random at times, though, which I think just reflects the curious interests of the original designer. As for visiting, it's easy to park, pay, and walk around. My favorites were the Keyhole garden (Alice in Wonderland!), the Yellow Garden (with its central stream), and the Iris Garden. Unfortunately, quite a bit of it seemed to be a bit overgrown or not in bloom. For example, minimal roses were in the rose garden. There were a lot of cool sculptured topiary-type displays but not so many flowers here in August. Maybe cause it's been quite hot. Still enjoyed the visit, though. Final note: Would suggest bringing non-porous shoes on your AM walk, as the ground has quite a bit of dew/moisture to walk through and otherwise your socks will be soaked.
