The gardens were not very colorful and the recent rains made the Nature Trail so muddy we were advised of its difficult footing. The cutting garden was in need of work with fallen flower stems, toppled displays and seemingly everywhere in the gardens there were...More

Only after moving to Delaware did we finally do this tour - it’s wonderful! Walk at your own pace through the beautiful gardens, they are so fascinating and I can’t even imagine what went into planning and planting them. Be prepared to take a LOT...More

Got a window of sunshine during a very rainy spell. Everything lush, blooming and fragrant. The gardens would be gorgeous without blooms. Well landscaped. Lovely indigenous plants. Loved the peaceful koi pond. Bathrooms clean! Just a great place to visit, walk, sit and enjoy nature....More

We had a cloudy day, but no rain was forecast, so we drove to Ladew Gardens to walk for a couple hours. I notice a couple other reviews indicated there were not many flowers at this time of year. True, the dogwood and apple blossoms...More

Garden is nice, in special sculpture garden part, but most of flowers are done. So if you are going to see flowers go before middle of May. It's not friendly for stroller.

Was very surprised by the lack of flowers in bloom. The irises were beautiful. But I expected a lot more flowers to be out. Everything was very green.

When we were there Lawdew was closed to the public, except for the program about syrup. We stayed about 10 minutes away, there was a delicious restaurant called Tarq's Grille where we ate. I'd go there again!
