I love coming to this park to see the new ways nature has changed the area. I was there the day little creek was made by the beach (unintentionally made, really) about 13 (+/-) years ago. The hike is pretty easy for all ages and...More

This is a beautiful state park in Southern Maryland, only an hours drive from Washington, DC. There are miles of well marked trails that wind through woods and along creeks and streams. The Red Trail takes you 2 miles along the creek leading to the...More

It was a nice place to relax and on your way to the "beach" theres such beautiful scenery. You also have benches pretty much every half mile for those not very physically fit or if they just want to enjoy the particular view on those...More

Great playground for kids. Lots of trails to hike. One that leads to the beach on the Chesapeake Bay. Be aware that it is 2.8 miles to get to the beach though.

It's almost 4 mile walk round trip. Nothing spectacular! Lots of dead and fallen trees and dirty looking ponds on the way. A tiny beach at the end of the hike. The website looked good. But the place was disappointing. No shark teeth found. Just...More

The website for this park did not indicate that it was a two-mile hike to the advertised beach. The hike wouldn't have been so bad without a toddler in a stroller and 90 degree weather, but the beach itself was mundane, mediocre, and rather small....More

Like other reviewers have stated, there is a 1.8 mile hike to the beach. The red trail is the easy hike and there are also more strenuous trails that you can take for a good cardio workout. There is a small pond as you start...More

It's about 1.5 miles to the beach. The walk, however, is very scenic. I saw others pushing strollers down the trail we used. There are also stop and rest areas.
