This museum is very well done with interesting planes and helicopters and points of interest. The various videos are also super interesting. The outside static displays are especially interesting and kids can get up close and see the planes.A bit small but I am sure it will grow with time

This museum is very well populated with interesting planes and helicopters and points of interest. I must say the gift shop is very good and has a lot of items to choose from. The various videos are also super interesting. The outside static displays are especially interesting and kids can get up close and see the planes.

I visited PAX River Naval Air Museum and definitely recommend it. I brought a young friend, 11 yo. He (and I) enjoyed the many planes, etc. on display, the simulators and learning more about what's involved in designing, maintaining and flying these machines. If you are planning a trip to Southern MD, it's worth putting this on the agenda.

A nice assortment of planes both inside and outside on the tarmac. Be sure to read the information signs (some of which are tough to read). There is a very informative movie about carriers in the little theater and a nice gift shop as well.

This was a great experience. Lexington Park doesn't have much to offer, but this was well worth the visit.

This place is famous for having four naval aviation test pilots who later were part of the original seven astronauts for the Apollo program! Awesome history here. 21 aircraft on display outside in a fenced area and more inside. There is a short video inside about the future of naval aviation. A model was made of the first airplane purchased... More

My father was stationed in Patuxent River in 1948. I enjoyed going through the museum and seeing all the pictures and airplanes from the past. People were knowledgeable and very nice. I will be back to take my mother through.

This museum has a nice collection of naval planes - mostly jets, including the F-35. They have two original F-14 flight simulators and an A-7 simulator that you can "fly" for a reasonable fee - which is amazing. Lots of good displays on flight testing.

This museum has lots of different displays and interesting information. It has two different indoor locations plus and outdoor area. Displayed aircraft are throughout. The displays, signs, models, pictures, movies, and staff have an impressive amount of information covering so many topics.

Took my 2 boys 8&2 yo and they enjoyed it. Not a huge museum but perfect for tiny ones who show interest in planes. My oldest enjoyed reading the facts and my youngest just enjoyed seeing the planes he sees in the sky up lose. Highly recommended if you don't want to travel far (DC) but have something to do...
