We were introduced to ClimbZone at a kids birthday party and just recently hosted a party here. It has been a great experience both from an attendee and host perspective. Unlike other party venues they allow you to host for 3 hours and bring your own food. The staff is very helpful and goes out of their way to make the experience memorable. The climbing walls are diverse and are changed constantly - they are expecting 10 new walls from now to February! Sure, it is a bit out of they way but it is worth it!

My daughter was invited to a birthday party at the Climbzone. We had never been before and we're quite surprised to find a hidden gem with so much excitement in South Laurel. There were so many walls of different themes to climb and by the end my daughter was completely wore out. I'm giving it 4 stars because of the stench of smelly feet at the door and limited parking. She is 8 years old and noticed the smell before I did but it didn't stop her from having a good time.

Plenty of young kids enjoying the fun...and lots of adults too! Nice time with the family. A bit pricey, even with Groupon, but worth the challenge and fun every now and then.

I booked a birthday party for my kids via online. I have numerous emails from Climbzone regarding the party reservation and the party area. I even received an email confirming how the party area worked, along with an email this morning from the "birthday email address". I arrived and was promptly informed that I actually did not have a party booked and the party areas were actually already accounted for. I had 20 kids, plus parents standing behind me. I went back and forth with the employees behind the counter and showed them all my email confirmations and exchanges, which then got them to explain that yes it was a mistake that it wasnt added in the book. The only choice I had was to round up any open table in the open area to have my "party". Then have my husband stand at the tables the whole time to ensure the tables remained ours and that the gifts were safe. This interaction and experience left a sour taste in my mouth, as well as all my guest who have never been to Climbzone. I hope that going forward a better procedure is implemented to ensure this type of issue does not reoccur for their guest. The climb walls were def a different experience and the kids enjoyed, but the whole issue with the mixup was a big mistake on their part, that resulted in my kids' party having to suffer.

We hosted a large birthday party at Climb Zone. First, the positive, which is why it has 2 stars and not one. The actual climbing walls are fun for kids and the self-regulated belay system works well for all. Now, the bad, specially regarding the birthday party. There was virtually no organization and party coordination. First, although I had emailed the attendee list, they did not have it for some reason. But, instead of calling ahead of time to let me know, they waited until we got there. Instead of being helpful and looking intently for the email, they just kept saying, sorry we don't have it and accused me of "cussing” at them, which I most certainly did not. In the meantime, party guests started showing up, and even though they had filled out a waiver, the "management" would not allow the children to climb. So I said that yes, those kids are with the party, please get them set up. Nope. I had to fill out a list first. In the meantime, the party guests are piling up, regular climbers are piling up, and all Climb Zone is doing is making sure I fill out my attendee list. Then they start sending kids to the back of the building, when in fact, the kids needed to be up front to get their harness and get trained. By this time, over 30 minutes of my party time had been used up thanks to Climb Zone's disorganization and lack of management. To their credit, the extended the climb time 30 minutes but would not extend the party tent time, which made getting kids organized, fed and out in time almost impossible -- particularly because Climb Zone offers NO assistance with party organization and management. It's all on the parents.bI asked for her manager's name and phone number and she supplied the general phone number to the store and the "info@" email address. I asked for the direct line and email - not personal, just direct - but nope, she couldn't do that. I asked for the party child to be free today given all the drama. Nope, couldn't do that either. Horrible, horrible experience. And for $25 per kid -- which only includes the climb and tent - nothing else -they need to do better -- much better. I would never host another event there and would never recommend it to anyone. Spend your money elsewhere.

I went about a year ago when it recently opened and it was really nice. However, a year later you could tell no one cares to do maintenance there. All climbing areas all scuffed, floor all messed up, no one cleaning or picking up trash during the day. The 3 and below area was just nasty. Floor full of chalk, even coins laying on the floor. I wanted to have my toddler crawl there for a while but after seeing the place....oh hell no! Not going back anytime soon.

TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT. After speaking with an unknowledgeable employee I was treated rudely and then received a threatening call a day later from Brian Rupp the general manager. I called him back and he told me he was not interested in my side of the story and proceeded to be condescending and unreasonable, all before my party. I was welcome as long as I promised certain things to him, I have no idea why. I would not suggest anyone to go to either White Marsh or Laurel if they want superb customer service since I feel that if Brian is in charge they will get neither. The walls are nice, the setup seems easy, if there is an issue it is the customers fault by default is what Brian showed me. There are other options for activities such as this and if there are not that many then maybe this is why the corporate attitude is take it or leave it.

I then contacted the owner/business partner "Tee" and he brushed me off by saying he had to talk to other people first before he could even hear my complaint. This is not a low cost event since we had 15+ children attending and almost as many adults. Maybe they have so much business that our party was not worth the consideration. I hope no one else has to go through what I went through.

We apologize that during your discussions with our team we could not come to an understanding as to the value of providing our staff a guest list prior to your arrival at our facility. Our process has been developed over our 3+ years of operation and after hosting over 1,000 parties. What we have found through that experience is that the best method to ensure a stress-free party for the host while providing the maximum amount of time for the guests to enjoy our facility is to be provided a guest list prior to the day of the event. Your decision to cancel your reservation is regretful but we hope that you, your guests and most importantly the birthday celebrant has a wonderful birthday no matter where you choose to hold the event.

I went to a birthday party for a friends daughter as I was walking in a staff member had ahold of the ten year olds arm literally holding her one arm up high lifting her off the ground. I told him to let her go and he said she was being unruly. I responded that's fine and if he wanted her to leave that she would but you can't put your hands on a child. I asked for the manager and explained what happened. The manager seemed concerned and we actually called the police because of the employee putting his hands on the child. The police came out and they asked my friend if she wanted to press charges on the employee and she refused at the time but will most likely file charges. It was totally unacceptable!!! If she was being unruly then go to the manager find out who her parents are and address it that way. You just don't put your hands on a child.

Every encounter between our staff and guests, young and old, is conducted with the utmost sense of compassion. For this reason, we find your review disheartening as it does not properly portray the events that took place. Our team spoke with the parents at length that day and again as recently as this morning to ensure that their experience (and the child’s) was of the highest quality. At no time have they expressed any displeasure with our staff. In fact, they have specifically stated that they “will continue to come to ClimbZone in the future” as their child had another amazing experience during her party.

I took my daughters and met my nieces (ages 2-8) in August for a morning of climbing. The 8-year-old did the most climbing. The younger ones (two four-year-olds and the 2-year-old) spent a lot more time on the inflatable slides and moon bounce than the climbing apparatuses. The 2 year old never really climbed. Instead, she spent some time in the kiddie corral, which is a large area with riding toys and large blocks for the smaller kids. All four kids had a great time. You can bring in food from outside for lunch and the bathroom had an area for diaper changing and nursing. The cost for kids under 6 is about half that of older kids. We'll go back for sure, but probably not until they're older.

We brought our 5 yr old here twice now and he can’t stop talking about it. What an imaginative and creative place for kids and adults to play while exercising. All climbing levels can take part and have fun.
