Besides the heat, I have not qualms about the Promenade. It's been beautifully redone in recent years and it's a nice stroll along the water. There's a restaurant or two close by that are easily accessible by walking. It's definitely worth the trip off Route 40 to stop and take a stroll.

The Lighthouse is at one end of the pier. Very relaxing place. A pier juts out a bout 100 yards. Enjoy a cigar at both places

Down in the Basin by the Promenade a shanty shack with the best eats from food, drinks to desert. As boats and boaters leave the Basin to the Lower Susquehana to the Chesapeake Bay what a captivating view and an opportunity to embrace lots that Havre de Grace offers with the Promenade there at the foot of Tydings Park you... Very nice promenade along the water. Usually has a nice breeze to minimize bug activity. Includes several piers for fishing and sitting, and bridges over the water and beach.

We stopped in this town for the antique mall and found everything else to be beautiful. The Promenade facing the water gives a great view on a beautiful weather day like we had.

What a great walking experience. It is so peaceful. The views are beautiful of the Susquehanna. Not to mention the squirrels that run around.

Lots of families and friends out and about at night, chatting and playing Pokemon. One saw a Pikachu and was very vocal. Great promenade in general, pretty walk by day and night.

The promenade is right along the Susquehanna River. It is nicely laid out and landscaped, and make for a very pleasant walk. There is a nice little restaurant in the are where the harbor is.

Stopped here on a weekend trip. I was happy we were able to learn about how this area was attacked back in the 1800's. There are post with brief history lessons every few feet. The views are amazing and it felt very safe. We probably walked it in about 25 min back and forth. Everyone should walk it.
