1+ mile walk one way, walking along the old Railroad path that came from Washington DC. Starts at the water park and dead ends where you can see the old railroad posts and raised bed. If you're lucky you'll see a bald eagle or osprey!

We took an early morning walk here and enjoyed the peace and quiet. We saw several types of water birds, and enjoyed reading the descriptions of the trees along the way. They also have stops where you can read about the history of the area....More

Beautiful classic bay scenery on a nice path. We biked, but people were walking too and the wooden parts would be wheelchair accessible. Nice observation benches with simple explanations about the bay. Excellent parking behind the water park. Only problem. Too short (about four miles...More

We love taking walks along the rail trail. It is quiet enough to see some wild life and the informational placards on the boardwalk are great for the kids to read.

This trail starts right behind the parking lot behind the Marina located in Chesapeake Beach. It's also behind the Water Park. As soon as you pass the Water park heading northbound, take the road between the Water Park and the convenience store/gas station and follow...More

I love this trail. This is one of the reasons we moved into one of the adjacent neighborhoods running through the trail. There's plenty of nature to see and a decent amount of foot traffic as well as cyclists. Unfortunately there is no fishing allowed...More
