Stopped in here for a rest break on a weekday. The park was nearly deserted, and the Fall color was just starting to brighten up. Very peaceful and quiet.

Very clean campground. Reservations is a must, as it filled up Friday night. We didn't have reservations, and a dog, but our rv runs off battery, so we didn't get an electric site. Most site are pretty spacious, and the bath houses were not that far to walk. Trail heads right near the sites. Lake was a 15 min walk.... More

GSP could be a postcard for "Family Values"--multiple generations of happy families spending time together eating, chatting, swimming, playing ball, tending children... Regarding complaints about overcrowding: even on busy days there is plenty of room to spread out and enjoy an afternoon lakeside (go early though if you want to snag a shady spot). We camped at GSP over a... More

On a hot summer day, this is the perfect place to take the kids to play. The lake is warm and shallow, with a roped-off area for safe wading and swimming. There is a nice, sandy beach to put your blankets, chairs and picnic cooler on and watch the kids play in the sand and water. There are large bathroom... More

This was a favorite childhood summer outing spot for my family as a child. I recently took my children there and had a lovely day. The park and beach were clean. My older children enjoyed the fishing and the paddle boat rental was very reasonable. We will definitely be back.

With beautifully wooded picnic areas and a lake for swimming/wading it is excellent for families with small children. There is a narrow sand beach backed up by a shaded grassy area. The shade is as always is dependent on the location of the sun. The beach area is facing west so the shade gets shorter in the afternoon and evening.... More

For any RV traveler, don't be fooled into reserving a space in the campground expecting to relax in the adjacent lake on weekends between Memorial Day & Labor Day. Your visit will be marred with the ridiculously high number of non-English speaking crowds that begin entering the day use area before 8:00am. By mid-morning on the weekends, the park is... More

Since it is a lot about the lake it is more of a summer park. We had fun and the park employees were great. It was smaller than I expected but how much room do you really need to have fun.

This is a State Park, it has two areas, a day use area with a lake and beach area, also a boat launch for non powered boating. Weekends are very busy in the day use area, it is at times closed because it's filled. There is a nice camping area with 4 camping loops, only one loop hazes power (Cedar... More

Lovely park, beach, and campground. Mostly Flat but short parking Spurs for the trailer sites with electric hookup. Partly shaded. Secure campground with a code activated hate. Convenient to Antietam battlefield.
