If you'er not from around there, this theater is tucked among much taller buildings in the middle of a downtown area. And, not being from there, we had a time finding parking and then the theater entrance. It's also tricky because you enter on one level and have to proceed down a long escalator to the actual theater. The restrooms are pretty fancy though. The seats in the theater (number 8) that we were in were pretty nice too. We like to sit all the way in the back when possible, with no one crunching or shuffling behind us. The screen was a nice size, and the previews were minimal, so this was a good experience. It ended up costing $4.95 for the nearest parking garage. If you exceed 3 hours, it costs $13.95.

This movie house in the heart of downtown Bethesda is surrounded by good restaurant options from Irish pubs Asian health bowls to Spanish Tapas - and with an upscale ice cream shop adjacent to the theater. Inside the theater is a well-equipped bar with cocktails, wine and beer you can take into the theater in addition to bar food and the usual popcorn and other movie fare.

I went here a little over a month ago to see Widows with my wife and everything was good except for the seating. It was clean...The picture and sound was good but that was it. The seats are comfortable but do not recline and have zero leg room. When I say zero I mean ZERO! It's so bad that you have to bump every person on the row when getting to your seat. When people get up during the movie they are bumping every person on their row to get out. The people on the end and a couple seats in would just get up and stand on the steps to let people in and out. It was the weirdest experience at a movie theater. Even the worst theaters have some leg room! I guess they were really trying to maximize profits so they crammed the rows as close as possible. But it was still packed with folks. Probably because of the location and the type of crowd that attends. I can't believe the reviews are so good with this seat situation. It was a very aggravating experience.

Bethesda Row is the place to go for the higher quality, limited release films and foreign films that’s often don’t make it to the major multiplexes. The reserved seating, in comfortable seats, and the availability of decent food and a full bar make it a relaxing environment. The proximity to the restaurants and ice cream shops of the Bethesda Row area make it a great option for a night out.
