A Bit Tricky To Find
Mar 2020
If you'er not from around there, this theater is tucked among much taller buildings in the middle of a downtown area. And, not being from there, we had a time finding parking and then the theater entrance. It's also tricky because you enter on one level and have to proceed down a long escalator to the actual theater. The restrooms are pretty fancy though. The seats in the theater (number 8) that we were in were pretty nice too. We like to sit all the way in the back when possible, with no one crunching or shuffling behind us. The screen was a nice size, and the previews were minimal, so this was a good experience. It ended up costing $4.95 for the nearest parking garage. If you exceed 3 hours, it costs $13.95.

Bethesda Row Cinema - The best new Movies in Comfort
Jan 2020
This movie house in the heart of downtown Bethesda is surrounded by good restaurant options from Irish pubs Asian health bowls to Spanish Tapas - and with an upscale ice cream shop adjacent to the theater. Inside the theater is a well-equipped bar with cocktails, wine and beer you can take into the theater in addition to bar food and the usual popcorn and other movie fare.

Went to see "Widows"..
Feb 2020 • Couples
I went here a little over a month ago to see Widows with my wife and everything was good except for the seating. It was clean...The picture and sound was good but that was it. The seats are comfortable but do not recline and have zero leg room. When I say zero I mean ZERO! It's so bad that you have to bump every person on the row when getting to your seat. When people get up during the movie they are bumping every person on their row to get out. The people on the end and a couple seats in would just get up and stand on the steps to let people in and out. It was the weirdest experience at a movie theater. Even the worst theaters have some leg room! I guess they were really trying to maximize profits so they crammed the rows as close as possible. But it was still packed with folks. Probably because of the location and the type of crowd that attends. I can't believe the reviews are so good with this seat situation. It was a very aggravating experience.

Great venue for seeing quality films
Jan 2020 • Family
Bethesda Row is the place to go for the higher quality, limited release films and foreign films that’s often don’t make it to the major multiplexes. The reserved seating, in comfortable seats, and the availability of decent food and a full bar make it a relaxing environment. The proximity to the restaurants and ice cream shops of the Bethesda Row area make it a great option for a night out.

New reserved-seat kind of place
Oct 2019
This is one of the new kind of theaters where you have to buy your ticket for a specific seat and there is pricey food and alcohol for sale-- seriously you can see the wine list as you head down the escalator. It was clean, the seats are comfy, and the restrooms were clean and had plenty of stalls-- that's about all I need in a movie theater.

Almost always find something we want to see.
Aug 2019
Seats are comfortable, air conditioning set at the right temperature and plenty of places within walking distance to eat a meal or grab dessert. Only thing I'd correct is the amazingly loud volume during the previews. even with my ears plugged it hurt.

Not an run of the mill theater
Jun 2019
This movie house shows more artsy films than the more mainstream theaters. The seats are very comfortable and the snack selection is good.

Bring photo ID!
Sep 2019 • Couples
At 52 it was rather flattering to be asked for my photo ID before buying alcohol, but it’s also a little ridiculous!
