I love to take a bike ride into Washington, DC and my favorite route to take is the Capital Crescent trail. It takes you right into Georgetown and then one can easily bike to the mall and visit the monuments. I bike this trail often.

One of the best additions to Bethesda is the Capitol Crescent Trail. While you may have to share this mostly shady walking trail with bikes and roller blades, there is room for all, especially as you get farther from downtown Bethesda toward either DC or...More

Rails to trail - it runs from Bethesda to Georgetown. If you don't have a bike, you can get one at bike share in Bethesda and leave the bike in Georgetown. It's about a 35 minute ride, through the woods and along the river. Super...More
