After lunch at Weathervane in Kittery, we drove to York in search of the Wiggly Bridge on Route 103 for our first visit. The parking area was on the opposite side of the road from the access. There was an interpretive info board at the...More

This is a good walking trail but forget about swimming anymore. Some group of people don’t like people swimming in the area and put small stakes all over the beach area. They have also ripped off entrances to prevent people from swimming or sitting there....More

The start of a hike through the woods with beautiful views and a great way to end your hike when you start at the end of the cliff walk.

Not a long walk, but very pleasant through an old wood. Much of the walk borders an old mill pond and there are interesting signs that provide the history.

Just had to check this out. Lovely area, cool little bridge with a great outdoor walking area. Worth stopping.

There is a lot of construction going on nearby but this will make going to the area much easier and more accessible in the future. Always fun to watch the kids jumping off the bridge into the York River. It was such a beautiful day...More

We enjoyed the stroll over the bridge and through the woods. We even spotted an eagle on our trip. There was a trail that also went alongside the river back along the older homes back towards York Harbor that we enjoyed. The parking was under...More

It was a bright, sunny and warm day and we walked this path and followed it under the bridge to the fisherman's walk. Nothing out of the ordinary, but for us it was just nice to see something different. Plenty of nice water views.

You can get a permit at the town hall that is also good for many other beaches but it costs $40.00 so it is only worth getting if you are local or staying all summer because the permits only last one day year.
