Our waiter at Fox’s Lobster House was nice enough to tell us where to find the Wiggly Bridge. It’s in York away from the beaches but very scenic. We walked the trails and my daughters loved the small suspension bridge. It’s worth even a half hour just to see it. The only drawback was the parking. We only found some... More

The Bridge is located on Rte. 103 off Rte. 1A. There's some on-street parking after you cross over the York River. There a really cool thing that happens to the tide under the Wiggly Bridge. There's also a short loop trail in Steedman Woods. If you cross Rte. 103, Fisherman's Walk goes along the river to the Stage Neck Inn.... More

The Wiggly Bridge is an icon in York. Great fun to walk across with the family, the kids, the dog, whatever. And the area always changes with the tides. Steedman Woods, while fairly small, is a great hike with the family, even the smallest of children. And if you want to go farther, continue towards the ocean on the Fisherman's... More

the bridge itself does wobble when you walk on it. once you cross the bridge you can walk a path through the woods at steedman woods, if i was local i'm sure i would walk here often as it seems very peaceful but to be someone trying to visit it is more difficult to enjoy by the lack of close... We had read about this bridge and walk and decided to go there one afternoon. Once we found the place, there was limited parking and you needed a permit. We were there in September so decided to park on the side of the road and check out the bridge and walk. The bridge is "wiggly" and quite small, but oh... More

lucky to be a local here and enjoy this walk regularly..you can park in the village and easily walk to it..there is also parking at the George Marshall general store, a historic building, now an art gallery beside ye olde John Hancock Wharf. From there the Sewall bridge is in view as well as the Elizabeth Perkins house. Walk into... More

...there is no public parking anywhere near this. The "parking on the side of the road" is, according to a local, regularly patrolled and cars lacking the proper permit are cited. Be warned! We were lucky enough that a local property owner allowed us to park 1/2 mile away, and the woods were lovely (an easy and short walk) to... More

Having been an area local for decades, I can confidently say that this is a Must Do for anyone traveling around York. The bridge is lots of fun to walk over and the hike around the island is always fun. I found my favorite walking stick on this Island. Enjoy !
