We arrived first week of September. We stopped here often on our trip because it was so close to our room. Most everything was open, some had limited hours. Shops were nice. Walking around and on the beach was great. Parking was plentiful and we...More

This beach get packed quick as it is very small. The waves are minimal. Close to the shops and a game room. There is a park and basketball courts right at the beach.

This is a smaller, in-town beach. Pay to park, and you can go to the beach, the park and playground, or restaurants. For someone looking for a one-stop beach and town experience, this is it.

This clean, beautiful beach is one of my faves in Maine, and a big reason for that is its close proximity to Goldenrod where I can watch them make saltwater taffy in their front window. The beach has lifeguards, a playground, and is great for...More

My favorite beach in Maine. Great for people watching and sunbathing. When you need a break there are so many shops and restaurants to check out. A great beach in the midst of a busy little town.

Beach was quite busy on a monday. Get there early if you want a spot to set up your umbrella. Small shaded area with picnic tables. Easy walk to many restaurants and activities for the family.

We have a winter rental on this beach and enjoy every minute of it. Like it better in the Spring, Fall, & Winter then in the summer. BUT it is a great beach for families.

Not really very nice or clean. It is very crowded. But there's lots to do in York. The Goldenrod is great for ice cream.

Short Sands Beach has Sands by the Sea Motel right in town. Union Bluff is nice in the newer building but a bit pricey.
